> 24 hourThis product is not plug and play if you are looking to use to send to an older flat screen TV thru HDMI that is not currently set-up for casting. First had to figure out how to make it work with the lates Windows operating system, i.e., instructions need to be updated. When I finally got the PC to connect with the TV the picture from the PC was in portrait and rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise. It would not change to landscape even when clicking that option. PLUS, when I go to return it to Amazon there is no return option available. So now I am stuck with the device!

> 24 hourAt first I thought this thing was junk. You see installation was quick and easy but when I went to mirror my phone. It was really slow. It kept on buffering alot. So I thought maybe it was my router. Sure enough when I reset my router it worked fine.

> 24 hourAll you need to know about this dongle is that it doesnt work properly. The signal cuts in and out every minute or so and my device constantly recommends reconnecting to the source. Not what you want in a streaming device.

> 24 hourThis was exactly what I was looking for!! I have my projector on a shelf over my bed and would always have to keep the laptop close by and connect it via an hdmi cable and I was actually having problems getting the sound from my laptop to the projected and thought you know what, I’m certain in this day and age there is a wireless solution so low and behold! I thought it too true to be true but look!! Not only from phone and tablets, but laptops too! I cannot speak to android use or any device that doesn’t use airplay/mirror screening. I will say the power adapter is short so I did get an extension cord and block to plug it into an outlet some feet away.

> 24 hourI hate that my computer doesn’t allow my screen share how I want to but with this item I can screen share perfectly even if I’m working from home want make my work screen bigger I can use this have it displayed on my tv. Can also work with DVD to your tv or laptop to projector. Highly recommended!!

Friendly reminder : Before connecting, please use the toggle button to select the corresponding user interface according to the system you are using.The maximum signal transmission distance of this product can reach about 13-15 feet. It is suitable for home entertainment, business meetings, party sharing and other scenarios. If you have ultra-long distance transmission requirements, this product is not suitable.
IOS system mirroring function
1. Keep the boot interface is IOS/MAC system dedicated mode interface.(The default is IOS/MAC mode after booting)
2. As shown in the image above，Click the ""screen mirroring" button, select and click the name of the Renkchip device, Enter the password 1234, and you can successfully share the screen.
For MAC system mirroring
1. When using this product on Macbook, please keep it in the dedicated mode interface of IOS/MAC system.
2. Open the AirPlay button in the upper right corner of Macbook, select the RENKCHIP-XXXX device, and the mirroring is successful.
For Android system mirroring
The Mirroring mode is the core function of this product,which is suitable for mobille phones and tables with tablets with Android 4.4 and above that support the Miracast protocol.
1. Please confirm that the product is in the dedicated interface of Android/Windows system. ( press the switch button on the front of the device to switch to the dedicated interface for Android/Windows system)
2. Turn on the Miracast function on your Android device. There are common shortcut key operations, such as Samsung Smartview, Huawei multi-screen interaction. For models without shortcut keys, generally go to Settings>More Connection Settings>Screen Mirroring, or Settings>Display>Screen Casting, or Settings>WLAN>More Settings>Screen Mirroring.
3. Select the "RENKCHIP-XXXX" device in the Miracast function, wait for a few seconds, and the phone screen will be automatically displayed on the TV after the connection is successful.
For Windows system mirroring
The mirroring mode is applicable for Windows 8.1 and above, need the CPU, graphics, wireless network are all Intel. Before use, please make sure the adapter is in the Android mode.(It can be switched by pressing the button of top after booting)
1. Use the shortcut key Windows+P.
2. Select the "Connect to Wireless Display" option,
3. Select the device "RENKCHIP-XXXX", wait for a few seconds, and the screen can be successfully displayed.
