Toshiba Canvio Flex 2TB Portable External Hard Drive USB-C USB 3.0, Silver for PC, Mac, & Tablet - HDTX120XSCAA

I purchased this external hard drive to back up my Macbook Air 2000. Rather than purchase a lower-priced item that would require reformating for a Mac, I upgraded to the Canvio Flex. It worked perfectly. I didnt have to reformat and the cable fit my Mac perfectly. I logged into Macs Time Machine and it was seamless. Great product.

This product doesnt require a review. Just get it. I bought two Hard drives and I have 3 more from Toshiba.

It’s a little bit slow but not egregious or anything. Works well for what I need and very easy to use. Also liked that it included usb and usb c cables.

Last purchased Jan 5, 2022. Color: Silver | Capacity: 4TB | Style: USB-C & USB 3.0 I run windows 11 on both my laptops first thing I did was reformat it (quick format) to NTFS I got some velcro tape and put on the top of both laptops Now I can use the 4TB drive on either machine and it sticks to the top and dont just hang there floppin around I have my machines set for drives to go to sleep after Idle a bit Takes a second or 2 to come out of sleep mode but other than that read/write/move/delete functions are quick Very nice drive at Great price Would recommend it to everyone.

Conducted too much research, a week, after my WD 4TB began failing. My 3TB music library is my life’s work. Unlike the WD I would have replaced with the same if the color had been available, this Toshiba drive is ready and its contents ready the very moment Windows boots. No waiting, no proprietary software. Should’a been using a Toshiba from the beginning. It wasn’t even in my top 3 brands to consider when I began the emergency replacement search. I’ve now recommended to others so I can give them my music library.

Using it for video on my trip to places that don’t get internet . Work great. Using it with Mypin usb to hdmi media player. Works perfect don’t need a computer for it.

I would give this Toshiba external hard drive a six, but you can only give it a five. The Toshiba external hard drive comes with two different plugs. It comes with a USB-C and a USB plug. This will hook up to older computers, and newer computers. I have a new Mac Book Pro, and had no problem hooking it up to Time Machine. It has a 1 Tb hard drive, which should last for a long time. I would differently recommend this hard drive to anyone who needs to back uo their computer
