This is perfect for my wife. It is small enough to be carried in a large bag, yet opens enough to give her good coverage in the rain. It seems to be sturdy when windy as well.

This doesnt live up to previous Totes umbrellas I have had. There are tiny holes all along the seams and fabric. And despite being so bulky, it seems quite flimsy. I am returning it. For this price, find something else.

One rainy night, my boyfriend and I went out for dinner and forgot our umbrellas at the restaurant. Being that its still the middle of winter, I knew wed need them again very soon. I ordered this one but as soon as I did, I saw that it was supposed to rain the next day and I had to stop by a store to grab another one anyways. It was a small one that I can carry around in my bag and I was going to just return this one. BUT after receiving it, I prefer this one. Its slightly bigger and very sturdy - wind resistant and waterproof! I didnt think that this feature would really matter but oh...it so does! When getting in and out of stores, restaurants, cars, etc., all you have to do is give it a couple shakes and voila the water falls off the umbrella! No messy puddles left behind you and youre able to throw it in your bag without getting everything inside it wet. This is a great umbrella...in fact, my boyfriend liked it so much the last time he used it that he ordered one for himself too! Do not hesitate to buy!

This is a nicely made umbrella, with a sturdily engineered compatibility feature, but the inside metal framework is so sharp. I shouldve listened to the other reviews. for such a big quality brand its quite surprising that this aspect of the product design made it to market. the tines of the umbrella in the inside top get stuck on everything—hair, hats, etc. and THE METAL STRETCHERS ARE SO SHARP THEY CAN EASILY CUT YOUR SKIN. Theyre not coated in paint or anything. I wouldve returned it, but was leaving on a trip the next morning in horrible rain. Its unfortunate because I like this brand, but after seeing the umbrellas at REI and how nice the design of the inside tops are, I was SUPER DISAPPOINTED.

I was very pleased to find this Totes brand umbrella at a competitive price. I was not disappointed - well made, easy to use, larger than most compact umbrellas, and everything about it indicates that it will last. Very pleased, would buy again.

Replacement for one I lost so obviously I like it.

I was a huge fan of totes umbrellas for well over 30 years. I would go to the outlets and buy a few annually. They would last easily 6 years and I even have one thats 15 years old in perfect condition. They used to be really well built with fine materials but not anymore. Based on looks and feel youd think these would last 20 years. It felt really solid at first but eventually fell flat after medium winds and a bit of rain. Things that used to be all metal is now plastic. Cheap aluminum snapping and falling off the rivets with barely a wind pushing. It doesnt even close anymore. I have to pull it hard. Im really saddened by todays totes umbrellas. I would really like to send it in for the warrantee but why would I want another garbage umbrella? Its time to move on and find something better.

Good product. I recommend this bc its light-weight and easy to use.
