This blanket works great for my miniature donkey. I wasnt sure if she would wear it or not as she is not broke to ride so she never has had something on her back. She was bothered by the rustling sound it made when I went to put it on her, but I just took my time and let her get used to seeing it. I was then able to put it on her and she seems to love it! The sheep gave her some strange looks at first but other than that, it is just fine. We are in Ohio so I generally put it on her when I know it is going to be in the low twenties or colder. I measured just like they said and the blanket is a good fit. The blanket is well made and seems very durable. The supplier shipped it right out and I got it in just a couple of days.

I ordered a 36 and the coat is 28 - 29 inches long to the top of the butt flap. It does not cover 1/3 of my Great Danes back side. The clasp underneath is unique, very difficult to connect, and often comes loose. A velcro attachment underneath would have allowed me to fit and wrap it to his chest/stomach and been easier to attach. It seems well made and is water resistant. It is not very warm or heavy. It is not long enough or wrapped enough underneath to provide protection from cold for his underside. It just blows around in the wind. I used it on a Great Dane and not a horse so that may have made a difference.

Ordered for a young mini donkey for 3 months of cold weather we get in SC. . Donkeys are <30 inches from the whithers at this time but it fits better than any others I have tried. Would reorder. Very pleased.
