One of the boxes was damaged with dye in the baggie but the other two made it intact. Order came when expected.

Used these refills and the red to make patriotic shirts for a scouting group, over 30 shirts. While the red bled the wrong color this one was actually really true to color. However, despite following all instructions the dye the was super clumpy. It jammed the bottle, would not dissolve in water, and even left the little clots in my washing machine. This resulted in some really dark blotches on the shirts as well. Amazon was great about helping out, but have found no way to contact Tulip directly. Have used other products by them and they worked great - just dont use the refills!

The die was a good solid color that I was unable to find in the store and perfect for my stars and stripes project.

when you open the box it is small baggie filled with dye powder - impossible to funnel into the small opening of the dye bottles- horrible design and makes a huge mess

We like this product and used numerous colors to tie dye 18 x 18 cotton kitchen sack cloth hand towels for a Woodstock party in mid-August. While not as intense as professionally dyed products our end results were never the less satisfactory for our purpose. We first washed the sack cloths to remove any sizing and then to ensure the most vibrant colors we used around 2/3 of a color pouch per color per sack cloth. Moreover we used about 10% less water than the instructions called for. Tie Dyed sack cloth was placed in a ziplock baggie for over 24 hours before rinsing. Most designs called for one color stage (all colors applied at the same time per design instructions) although some required a two step application process (one color applied at a time with 24 hours allowed for setting before the second color was applied). Those were the most vivid. Overall, this product does a good job for the do it yourself tie dye enthusiast. One word of caution: definitely USE GLOVES!
