Tulip Soft Fabric Paint Kits - 10pk Rainbow-Tulip 5 Color Fabric Paint (10 Pack)

Picked these up because I wanted mixable matte fabric paints so I could refinish some vintage cotton baseball caps that had some sweat discoloration that would not wash out. The Tulip paints mix well, which allowed me to pretty much exactly match the colors of the caps. However, while they are described as matte, it turns out when you use them that they are definitely not. They dry to a semi-gloss finish with some glitter. Fortunately, I found that out before I used them on the caps, by first testing the Tulip paint on a small area of the inside of one of them. I ended up refinishing the caps with inexpensive craft paint from Michaels, mixed with fabric medium. The latter needs to be heat set, but the final product is soft and definitely matte.

The paint goes on and dry fast . I am having trouble with the bottles . It does take much pressure to make the paint volcano out the top of the bottle . There is a foil seal on each bottle and I got paint everywhere just getting the seal off . Almost like the plastic bottles are too soft the slightest touch pushes the paint out !

The box of the product was bent and torn and half way opened. I bought this product new and not used from another party so there shouldn’t have been this damage. I have not used it yet but the condition of the package worried me if there is paint missing from the bottles.

We used these to make a Mother’s Day project from Pinterest. We put the wee one’s hand prints on some dish towels. The paint worked very well and has lasted through several washes without even a little fading. It goes on well with a paint brush as well.

This paint was great for painting squishies - my 11 year old daughter and her friends used them and had a fun time. Paint also worked on wood, paper, and little ceramic figures (unfinished) . This paint on Amazon was cheaper than the local chain craft store by more than $7 - so I ordered it on Amazon to save a few dollars.

Les couleurs sont magnifiques! La peinture résiste bien au lavages. Sauf que faite attention lorsque vous ouvrez les bouteilles, ça sort en grosse quantité et surtout rapidement.

Great product, works well with t shirt, color did fade after few washed.
