This was purchased for a cosplay I wore earlier this month and overall, I think it did a decent job at the task I had for it (which was painting on a black body suit to resemble a characters clothing) but there are a few complaints. So, what are the positives? It performs well as a fabric paint, I havent noticed any of the paint washing off or fading or anything like that, and like the bottle states, it dries pretty soft and flexible! But, there are some things to keep in mind. First of all, this paint is able to dry softly because its very runny and isnt the most opaque of paints. When using it, its an absolute that there is a barrier behind the surface its being put on because it can soak through fabric; I painted it onto a cotton/nylon bodysuit and it basically bled straight through to the other side. Also, if you want a truly opaque color payoff (as in a truly solid white shape with none of the fabrics color showing) with whatever you paint, you have to apply several layers of paint. I think this stuff works best if you want to be able to build up the coverage or use the fabrics color to create a certain effect with the paint. Also, this stuff says matte and compared to the slick version, this does qualify as matte in that it doesnt look wet/shiny in the light and tends to not lay upon the fabric as heavily or allow for it to be as dimensional, but the color glacier is not 100% matte either. It is full of tiny, tiny bits of glitter that kind of give the paint a shimmery effect in some cases (which is probably why its called glacier. It resembles the sparkle of snow). Its not super noticeable, but the glitter is there and can be seen in certain lighting, especially if you do lighter coats of paint (the more layers you apply, the less prominent the glitter is, but a light layer on dark fabric is noticeable). I think for most peoples needs, this paint will do just fine. I personally did not find this particular type of paint to be the End All Be All for my project, since I had very large areas to cover with totally opaque shapes, but I suppose I should have realized that the soft version of the paint would be more runny and light in coverage in order to allow it to dry so soft. I dont fault the paint so much as I fault myself for expecting it to cover solid black fabric perfectly in one go, as if it were thick oil paint on a canvas, while still being super soft and flexible. The price is a little much, but unless youre covering a lot of area in a lot of layers, this bottle should last for several projects! There is a smell to the paint, as well, but its not especially strong or unpleasant (just kind of smells like paint, you know?) and I wouldnt say it would warrant an open window or masks or anything.

I water this paint down a bunch and then actually use it to make dye like effects on the fabric projects I do. I love how versatile this paint is!

I got this for my Jack Frost hoodie, and it works pretty well. Its not the most pigmented of paints, and its not the easiest to spread, but I was putting it on a hoodie which is probably the reason. I bought this and the regular plain white paint as well for the hoodie, and they mixed and worked great together for it. Also this has a bit of a shimmer to it so it helped to make it look more like frost on the hoodie

    Great fabric paint

Fabric pain went on thick and easily. However, I order matter black. The bottle says it is matte. But once the paint dried it was black and very sparkly. It took me several hours to get the sparkles to stop spreading and I also had to add another layer of material to hide because I couldnt wash it off. Almost ruined my costume. A good solid paint, but the opposite of what I wanted.

I want to use on t shirts but it is so thick it barely will spread. I really would like it to be replaced. Please let me know so I can return this bottle an receive a new one.
