Super smooth. I bought them for a fidget toy and they are very cool.

As everyone keeps posting how rust free these balls are...I figured Id show you the not so rust free mine came in today. Good shipping turnaround as they were available on Prime but when it says new item on box but the item is rusted, it doesnt make it as new and valuable as they are.
