> 3 dayI installed ubiquity products in my house a few years ago. With additional outdoor living and Wi-Fi security devices at the perimeter of the house I needed to extend coverage. Yes, it is inexpensive to get a Wi-Fi booster but that requires a separate network. Not a big deal but not ideal. Having extended coverage, in a water resistant manageable device at price lower than most APs is a smart choice. Solid product. I recommend.

> 3 dayNot the greatest looking access points, but they work very well. Combined with the Ubiquiti Unifi SD-LAN you have a great combo.

> 3 dayMuch smaller than the previous outdoor access points yet so much faster. It comes with adapters to use the existing mounting hardware from older outdoor APs so its very easy to swap them out.

> 3 dayThey update those Access point very often but many time the updates are problematic for some of the access point. I recommend only updating one at a time and making sure the firmware works before applying to all. Signal is poor for the price. Performance isnt all that either. Hard wire connection work far better than the mesh wifi. Wont recommend it to build an outdoor mesh network. Better off using separate antennas for the backhall network.

> 3 dayInstall was easy. Had an issue with interference and the strength was compromised. Rebuild network and signal is great now.

> 3 dayI was told this equipment is well designed and robust. I was also told that beginners should stay away, as the interface and user experience during set up leave a lot to be desired. Boy, was that an understatement. I have very experienced IT guys on my staff, and I myself have been an engineer for decades. Im not going to give you the laundry list of things that are going wrong with this system, but the most hilarious one is that the system keeps asking me to change my password, only to then refuse to recognize the password the very next day, and then, of course, wont allow me to re-set the password at all. We are now totally locked out.... This is just one of many administration issues with these units. The fact that the units are robust once set up is all well and good, but if a team of IT guys cant set the stuff up, its useless. Stay away, stay very far away....
