It is af not at so It only works with 48volt PoE adapters and not 24 volt and only provides a max of 15 watt, so make sure you understand that. It also seems to get warmer than others I have used. And the ethernet is only half duplex, 4 wire Also the tab is not protected and can easily be broken off and looks impossible to crimp a new one on. Having said that, I will probably cut it off anyway and not use it. IM GLAD it has an led which indicates power. Its fine for a low end camera.

This device works great. Ive purchased 4 of these overall and have had no issues with them to power raspberry pi 3 Bs that I plugged into these. Im ticking off 1 star due to the fact that theyre 10/100 Mbps only. This wont matter for any pi except the new Raspberry Pi3B+ which happens to be what Im upgrading my cluster to. The 3B+ now supports higher than 100 Mbps connection speeds, which means these adapters are going to be your choke point for bandwidth. The frustration of having to replace these units just because the manufacturer cheaped out and didnt want to populate all 4 ethernet pairs is what makes me take off the star. The product description only mentions this once and near the end of its specs... so its a little bit misleading.

Been using this Ethernet/power adapter for a Raspberry PI3+. Its been few months and have noticed no fault in operation. If i need another one I will re-buy.

Order two of these; both provided +5V but one wouldnt pass traffic. Problem moved with the power splitter, so I initiated an exchange with Amazon. Replacement works fine. A minor nit is that these things claim to be 802.3af compliant, but they dont support GigE. This suggests that they may only support Alternative B. I suppose I could ask the switch what they negotiated, but Im less than motivated at the moment.

This is a good 802.3af adapter if you want to run a Raspberry Pi without a USB adapter and just power it via POE. Note that you need a real 802.3af POE switch or injector, and not a passive POE injector (sometimes used by cheap cameras and some models of Unifi gear). I am using it with a Linksys/Cisco managed POE switch and it worked immediately without any tweaking. The sole downside is that the USB plug protrudes some distance from the RPi; recommend getting a right-angle MicroUSB adapter if you are wall mounting the whole assembly to reduce the strain and minimize the size of the whole package.

I am using this to power a Wyze cam with a POE injector. It works great.

I purchased PoE power splitter to power a Raspberry Pi I have running Kodi. Prior to purchasing this, the Pi’s power source took up a valuable 120v outlet on the power strip. Now with this device, I am able to run the Pi using PoE. This is very nice as it eliminates the need to plug the Pi into a wall outlet. Also, I was worried about low voltage to the Pi but, this device seems to be providing enough juice that the Pi does not have an voltage issues. Would for sure recommend this for others looking to streamline their setups!

Dead on Arrival. What more can I say? Return is already in process.
