I can switch between my work computer and my home computer, without having to love my keyboard and mouse, or use a second keyboard and mouse. Its phenomenal, fits perfectly under my monitor.

For what it does and the ease with which it does it, this little widget is fine. Switch is very fast. Versus direct connection between pc and monitor, theres no observable difference in video or keyboard and mouse response. I would give it 5 stars if not for the fact that when either my desktop or laptop goes to sleep, neither one will resync with the KB and mouse when they wake. Does anybody else have this problem? The only only way to get them to resync is to hard power cycle. Sure, I could turn off sleep but I dont want to run my devices 24/7. Or I could do full shutdowns and then wait for boot up every time I wanna use my gear. Thats annoying since Im on and off multiple times a day.

Appears to work well. I had no problems connecting it up and having both computers boot and connect to it OK. I was surprised to find that it also ships with two short Type A to Type B USB cables. I didnt use these as I had already assumed that I was going to have to source my own VGA/USB cables. The only minor niggles I have with this design are:- 1) Cables have to come off 3 sides of the device making it harder to situate so that the button on top was accessible and the cable routing didnt look a mess, or get in the way. 2) The Blue LED indicator lights do not make it clear which port is selected. One illuminates the whole bar and the other just half the bar. Maybe it needs better alignment between the lens/diffuser and the LEDs or just 2 different color LEDs. 3) The captive nuts for the VGA connectors are inside the case and are separated by the thickness of the case plus some clearance to the outside world. I had one VGA plug that almost couldnt use these nuts because of this separation and the length of its retention screws. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. So far there have been no problems using it. Computers can be booted in any order and pick up the correct VGA information. Switching between computers has not been a problem, nor has waking them from sleep using a keyboard key stroke.

Ok, I told my work IT guy about getting a switch box, and he said, dah, welcome to the new century. I go back and forth with my work laptop and created a separate set up with a desk, monitor, and keyboard in a 200 sq ft apartment for my work computer. I get this, and boom, my life has changed(a little). This magic box works and works great for me. In the words of my IT guy..........Dah $20 bucks...........buy it.

worked well dont forget you need a separate VGA cable. also only works with VGA hook up not HDMI OR DVI connections.

Item was very easy to install and works perfectly. I have it switching between a windows 7 system and a windows 10 system, and have had no problems at all. Follow the install instructions (which I did not do at first), and you will have no issues.

Got this to share a monitor between home computer and home security cameras. Very cool and less money than buying a new monitor. Just don’t forget to buy (2) VGA cables as you can use your current cable to connect the monitor to this splitter but you need one to connect to computer and one to connect to cameras. Amazon has them for $8. Toggle button feels nice and clicky and durable. Hope it lasts a long time.

It did exactly what it said and worked with my Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse. I can use 2 PCs with one monitor and one keyboard and mouse set with the click of a button to determine which PC is displaying on the screen. Note: this is not for dual monitors; though I have dual monitors; in this case you can use dual monitors on on of the two PCs but when you switch you only have a single monitor. Affordable and does what is says and more (it did not advertise that it would work with wireless accessories).

I ordered this 2-port switch to connect two PCs to one monitor so that I could switch between my own computer and my grandsons homework computer. The device arrived with very minimal instructions. Its a simple device - vga output, 2 vga inputs and USB ports. However, the indicator lights failed to come on and the device straight out of the box was unusable. Its sealed, or at least appears to be, and no instructions are given for battery installation. No power cord or USB power cord comes with it and there are absolutely no instructions as to how to get it to come on and work. Rather than play with all the USB ports till I get lucky and figure out how to power it Ive decided to send it back. It does say in the instructions that it will only work if theres a USB in the USB1 port. I dont use cables, my mouse and keyboard are wireless so apparently the single sender in the USB slot at the end of the device is not sufficient to wake it up. Not impressed with the device at all and have wasted about 40 minutes on hooking it up only to have it fail to work at all. If I could give it just half a star for terrible instructions I would.

Great idea...great price...now we can combine the features of Windows Vista,with the advancements and power of Windows 7...BE SURE to connect exactly as the diagram shows.. YOU WILL NEED to provide your own VGA cables..be aware of this..these are not included...Use the enclosed usb cables to run from any open usb ports on your computer, and into the side ports on the HUB....make your keyboard and mouse connections in the end ports..FINALLY the VGA port on the other end will go to your shared monitor. YOU MIGHT NEED to reset your screen resolutions for each applicable computer, and the hub will remember these settings..OR YOU CAN download a free app.that saves and restores icon desktop positions. THIS DOES WORK with WIRELESS mouse, and keyboard. Have fun...great idea at a greater price!
