I dont get why people said it was big. It was moderate sized but not that big. I love Vera Bradly brand but this umbrella made me so sad. It matched my backpack and broke after two uses. By breaking I mean that I couldnt close the dang thing

This is a cute umbrella but it can be temperamental about opening and closing. And dont bother trying to use it if theres any wind.

Umbrella is very pretty with an attractive pattern. Unfortunately, it is not very sturdy and blows inside out in the slightest of wind.

What can I say, its Vera Bradley. The interior construction is great and sturdy. Its more than just a pretty umbrella.

I love the houndstooth pattern. it was far too heavy for me to stick in a purse or day bag. if an umbrella is that big and heavy, it might as well have a sturdy wooden handle. far too wide to carry on a busy city street. i returned it.
