This book may provide you with an ample historical background of the press in America and author does put forward his argument clearly of roles the press plays in democracy, however

Gore Vidal said in the book that Assange carried the people have no voice because they have no information. Fake news keeps the truth , the information from us. It is deliberate.

Finally, an excellent read and a breath of fresh air leaving the bullies of propaganda central (you know who they are) in the rear view mirror. The book is riveting! Most of the negative comments are from the kool-aid society that are not even verified purchases. They just cant handle the truth but have to put their two cents in. Leave your biases behind and open your mind to thoroughly enjoy this marvelous book!
