I bought this to replace a backpack that I always carried on flights. It is perfect. Much easier to pack and organize and it allowed to to carry twice the amount of stuff.... and still fit perfectly under the seat in front of me.

it seems like all luggage pretty much looks the same these days but this retro spinner luggage is utterly charming. Its so cute Im actually worried about using it for our trip to Vegas next month. Its a sturdy piece with lots of storage areas inside and even comes with a plastic protective covering you can use when the luggage isnt in use. Great luggage that will easily stand out from the rest.

This luggage has a very interesting design, with polyester type single mold on top and bottom, sides made of thin panels covered by fabric and only fabric on the lid that opens. Due to the fact that the zipper is not in the middle, you have a nice single box to pack your things in. I appreciated that it was very easy to pack, then open again and top up with a few more forgotten items without having to go through a hassle of opening it through the middle and having things fall out. The suitcases are surprisingly light, I really like how much stuff I can place in the large one and still be sub 20 kg. There are diagonal straps inside to compress and secure your items, mesh pockets on the side as well as on the inside of the top cover, and a plastic pocket that could handle moist/wet items. The handles self-retract when not in use, so there is less chance of them getting caught on something. The handles are quite thin, which makes them less likely to snag, but do not seem comfortable for extended use. On the other hand, there are not many situations where you would need to carry the entire weight of the large suitcase on a handle for an extended period of time, so that seems like a good trade-off. Overall, top marks for the concept, layout, and the design. The build quality seems good, but owing to the light materials used I am not certain yet how it will handle repeated international trips. I should emphasize that this is not a hardshell, rather a hybrid, so dont expect quite the same level of sturdiness. However, the combination of plastic mold in high impact corner areas and a softer material through the middle to absorb the impact and flex, does seem like a good idea from an engineering point of view, and should offer significantly more protection than a softshell, while still weighing more or less the same. The luggage rolls nicely, but I am slightly concerned that the bracket of the caster wheel seems to be made of some type of plastic, would have preferred metal there. To be fair, that is pretty standard these days. The casters are quite easy to put on an off using a button under the lining. It would be nice to have an opportunity to order a couple of replacement wheels, just in case. Overall, very happy with the purchase so far. Someone has clearly put a lot of thought into designing this set, it is very functional and classy looking in gray color. I will update regarding how well it stands up to rigors of international travel.

WARNING- This is an in depth review of this suitcase for those who want to make an informed buying decision. For a quick summary, see section marked THE BOTTOM LINE -------------- I have a daughter who is a vintage girl. She LOVES vintage things. She looks like an ad for a vintage clothing line at times. When we found out that she had a sudden educational opportunity, we had to assemble traveling things for her pretty quickly. Then this suitcase showed up on the order page and I kid you not, she squealed! WHAT IS THIS LIKE? STURDY? The outside is vinyl coated thick board which is not hard like wood but is flexible. It looks like wallpaper and is really beautiful. METAL WORK The metal work is copper/rose gold colored. It is simply gorgeous. TRIM The trim is white. There are two straps which are appearance only. They are magnets which sit in place and look like straps but they are mostly for decoration. The other trim is faux leather strips and corner pieces and handles. HANDLES There are plenty of handles on this thing. There is a top handle, a side handle, There is also a telescoping handle. WHEELS The wheels move very easily and are way better quality than I expected. INSIDE The inside is very vintage. It has a beautiful peach satin lining and a clothing cover that hooks into place and has a pocket for small items that are flat like jewelry , etc. LOCK There is a simple combination lock on the outside. It is nothing extreme, but still gives a sense of privacy. PERFORMANCE? This is pretty lightweight for airline travel, but honestly, I am not sure how well it would fare on a plane. The straps that are magnetized would not stay in place and I am not sure how well the sides would hold up being banged around like they do on airplane luggage carriers. As far as usefulness goes, packed this performs well. You can fit a fair amount of things in it, but it is what I would say is a medium small sized suitcase. WHAT IS THIS BEST FOR? Again, I am not sure about airplanes, but traveling in a car or by other means where you have some control of it, this is really a cool suitcase. If there was a way to secure the belts on it, it would be fabulous. THE BOTTOM LINE Not only does this look fantastic, it is pretty sturdy for light to medium weight travel. Airplane travel might be rough on it. It is one of the nicest suitcases I have seen in a while and our daughter loves it. MY RATING FOUR STARS. I hate to do that because in looks it is like TEN STARS. But the straps being only magnetized and not secure limits this usability on planes and heavy travel stress. PHOTOS I have included two photos for you to see what it is like.

I ABSOLUTELY LOOOOVE my Vintage Trunk Luggage Set!!! I get sooo many compliments every time I travel! It’s extremely durable and sturdy! I personally don’t expect something made with such nice quality to be light weight… it’s not too heavy but it’s well made and I love how I can see myself using it for years to come.

I was super shocked to see these on here. They look EXACTLY like the japanese brand LIZ LISA lucky trunk suit cases from 2014-2015 (pink rose embossed and floral stripes!!). Mine had endured a lot of love over the years and are in not so good condition, but seeing these was a nice surprise. I cant wait to get them!!
