> 3 dayUniversal Sun Rain Shade Camera Cover Shield for Nest/Dome/Arlo/Ring/Bullet Outdoor Camera (4 Pack, White), Protective Roof for Outdoor Security Cameras This shade and rain cover is perfect to protect my security cameras. Properly mounted, it does not interfere with any of the camera optics but prevents the sun from overpowering the camera views, while simultaneously adding additional protection from rain, snow and ice. These camera shades are the perfect added weather protection to my security cameras. They are a cost-effective investment for my hardware. I am very satisfied with how this item performs.

Greater than one weekWe have a number of exterior cameras on our house, but when they get rain on them, sometimes the camera gets spotty and hard to view, so these have taken away that problem! My husband thought it would limit our line-of-sight, however it certainly hasnt done anything of the sort, and its actually assisted with the night-vision on/off issues (coming on too early, clicking on/off over and over, etc). Im thankful to have stumbled upon these, b/c I dont know when - or even if - I would have even found these on my own otherwise.

Greater than one weekThese covers look and feel solid. They not only protect the cameras from snow, rain, and ice, they also help a bit with keeping the sun out of the camera lens

Greater than one weekThese are much bigger in person than what the site showed. I have multiple cameras that i want to shade and protect from the elements and this is so perfect. The back part that gets attached to wall has a built in soft gasket to seal the shade on the wall. The outside is white and the inside is black so light does not bounce around and make “noise” for your camera. It is thick quality plastic, not a thin brittle hood.

> 3 dayThe material is thick, the size is generous for coverage over cameras. Much more substantial than metal ones, definitely more pleasing on the aesthetic side and sturdier than thin metal. Each one of the shades in the set comes with 5 screws and matching plastic anchors, though only 4 screws are needed for mounting to the wall: great to have extras, saves the trip to the hardware store when dropping one or two on installing or for later if needed. Another nice touch is the gasket on the whole wall-adhering surface: can achieve a perfect seal to the wall, no water leaking underneath to the camera wires. And, what I like the most, the black surface has low reflectivity to avoid ghosting or other alterations in the camera images caused by stray light. Overall, these are the best shades Ive ever seen. I am looking to install these on the siding of the house, thus I need to fit in some flat pieces of wood for the basis. Not hard to do, but I had to put the project on hold until warmer weather for gluing and staining. The one possible drawback I foresee is that the screws are the Phillips head kind. I hope they last and never rust, but many such screws that I had in outdoor fixtures did corrode over the long run, and its usually the head that becomes clogged with rust and makes removal hard. Phillips head are far better than slot head ones, still hex heads are the best bet for anything thats likely to corrode. I cannot subtract any star from the rating for this concern, though: its a matter of years for such issues to develop IF they do, and worst that can happen Ill have to replace the screws before it becomes hard to remove them.

> 3 dayI really like the cover. I was disappointed on one of my cameras how far up it sets because of the WIFI antennas. Looking at the store page it seems it would work for those types, but looking closer it shows what cameras these are for. It does fit one of my WIFI cameras just fine. As long as the camera does not drop down a lot from the bracket you should be able to use these. I think I can probably adjust the antennas more and get them to fit without hurting my WIFI connection. The installation was easy, and the included screws worked great.

> 3 dayI was having issues with water on the lens of my cameras. Once I installed these I have no more problems when it rains or there is dew/fog out. The mounting surface needs to be large enough to mount it or plan on adding a board if putting on a trail camera. Very happy with this product.

> 3 dayRecently I had the opportunity to order 4 of these Universal Sun Rain Camera Shields in one package. I’ve evaluated a similar shield from another seller, so Im familiar with how good they are. First about this shield, then a quick story. What I liked: Well-built from ABS material. Nice looking with high-gloss white finish. Rubberized water seal on backside. Very durable; I think this shield would even deflect our Texas-sized hail without an issue! Flat black underside greatly reduces any glare and reflections from camera IR lights and spotlights. Easy to mount and includes needed hardware for most wood or brick surfaces. Dimensions accommodate most Ring cameras, most PTZ cameras, all dome cameras, and many bullet cameras providing they arent too long. In using a WI-FI camera with external antenna(s), I normally bend the antenna(s) sideways or down to avoid interference with the shield. Just make sure you maintain adequate WI-FI signal strength. Great price point for the quality of this product. Now a quick story: Ive owned WI-FI security cameras for 5 years and have evaluated 10-12 different brands and camera configurations. Ive always been a huge advocate for protecting ALL outdoor cameras. I was doing a recent evaluation of a PTZ camera ($50-75 price range) which advertised an IP66 weather rating. An IP66 rating normally protects against powerful jets of water from any direction for a 3 min duration. I finished my measurements over an afternoon, but had not yet put my shield over the camera body. That night, it started raining and it rained nearly 3 over 3 days, none heavy but constant. On day 3, the camera quit working. I put a ladder up (clear on day 4), tried to do a manual reset with no success. I opened the rubber seal underneath the camera ball to access the microSD card. At least 1 Tablespoon of water ran out of the camera. I took the camera down; it is entirely dead. Lesson relearned: Don’t wait. If you have a camera exposed outside, it needs protection. Mount your camera under a soffit (under the eve) or use a shield like this one. Summary: Strongly recommend, thanks for reading my review

> 3 dayI was looking for a sun and rain shield for out outdoor cameras and found this. Even though our cameras are rated as waterproof and for outdoors I think a shield like this really helps them to weather the elements like rain and direct sunlight which will wear them down after a while. The packaging was very simple, some plastic wrap and a cardboard box, easy to open. These shields are easy to mount and install, it took only a few minutes to climb up and get them anchored in to our outer wall. Do be sure to check your camera if it has antennas to ensure you get proper clearance when panning or tilting the camera. Once we had that set proper these things stayed in well and its helped with some glare we were getting when using the cameras. Very solid protection for you outdoor cameras!
