US Art Supply Artist Wood Pastel, Pen, Marker Storage Box with Drawer(s) (Large Tool Box)

I actually bought this artist case to store my collection of essential oil bottles. There are purpose-made cases for that, but they run almost twice the price, and dont accommodate the different sizes I have as well as this case: Im using it without the included tray, to accommodate my taller bottles (4 oz / 120 ml ; with droppers). So as a bonus, Ive got the tray to use on a shelf somewhere, to organize odds and ends. I like that the dividers on the bottom can be removed (Ive removed just one short one), but also like the fact that they are there... they help keep my bottles of essential oils upright. As far as construction/aesthetics, while its not super-fine craftsmanship (at this price, I wouldnt expect it to be), but mine arrived in great condition, all corners well matched without any of the gaps some other reviewers have encountered. So its fair to say its very well made considering the price. The latches and hinges on mine are perfectly fine, secure, straight and work great. All in all, I would recommend.

A much better way to carry all of my drawing supplies. I would prefer that the dividers could be removed or re-arranged to accommodate some of my supplies better. But all in all it does a very nice job.

Nice finish, appears sturdy. Purchased for Grandson to store his craft tools in.

Decent box. It works well for my needs. It could be better constructed but nothing Ill complain about. Bottom line you get what you pay for and Im satisfied with this purchase.

Got this for the wife’s art supplies. She loves it. We’ll see how long it lasts as we just received it 2 days ago. But she liked the look of it and the functionality.

I like this box a lot. The wood is beautiful. The craftsmanship is great. It is a sturdy, well built box. I use it to store a lot of embroidery thread in a clean dry area. It also stores the needles, scissors, etc on the top.

I originally bought this to be my “paint box” for en plain air oil painting. Before I could use it for that purpose, I got delayed by weather and other things. I decided to use it for storing my watercolor paining supplies in my studio. I perfectly suits all my watercolor paint tubes, brushes, masking fluid, styluses, tape, basically everything but watercolor paper, palettes and painting easels. Then, when I finally got back to en plain air oil painting I decided to buy another one. Both are great! Beautiful, well-constructed, nicely designed. The second box fits well in my very large en plain air easel backpack. It fits almost everything I take into the field: 200ml oil paint tubes, palette knives, bottles of medium and terps, rulers, girded viewfinders, etc. And it takes a lot of rough treatment. It gets thrown around and bounced hard in my backpack, plunked down on grass, rocks, and muddy ground, and it holds up very well. I would have been happy if it had lasted a couple months, but so far it has lasted over a year. Very durable. A great purchase if it were three times the price!

Im an art minor at school and this worked great for my art classes. I love the organization it offers and it looks and functions wonderfully

First off, Im a perfectionist. Im very hard to earn a compliment from. Secondly after reading the other reviews, I begin to think I should have spend more money for a more premier brand. Im pleased to report all my apprehensions due to other reviewers negatives...after my art box arrived.....vanished. Im very pleased with the US Art Box quality and construction. The storage box does have a matte-finish clear coat ( outside surfaces only ) The walls of the storage box are made of a tight grained hardwood. The storage box top, bottom and tray bottom are fabricated of a furniture grade 3-layer plywood. Photos included show the inside tray with the gap size depicted by common coins, two Pennys and two Nickels to prove visually ...there is nothing wrong with this trays fit or finish. All the Hardware, the latches, hinges, and handle were spot on straight as an arrow. All the joinery was well done. The photo showing the inside corner of the tray shows the ONLY flaw I could find.....bet you have to study it hard....to find it ! These four pictures should give you confidence, this robust art storage box is NOT SHODDY by any measure!

I am using this as a tool box...love the look and that the sectional panels are removable. The handle makes it perfect for taking my little tool kit from room to room if need be. And it has such a fine look I can leave it out in the open for display.
