> 3 dayThe other day my vehicle informed me that we had a tire with low pressure. With visions of a rapid deflation at speed followed by another vision of me and my beloved 4Runner being yeeted off the roadway and into a ditch full of rocks and poison ivy, most likely on fire, I searched for a nearby tire inflation machine. Now, I’ve been driving relatively new automobiles for 30 years or so, so my experiences from crappy old tires on nasty used cars at long-gone gas stations no longer applies. Now it seems that one must pay an extraordinary amount of money to use a tire inflation station at a 7/11 or Shell station, or a Cumberland Farms, or an off-brand gas station, all of which I visited in my odyssey to discover pressurized air. Who the heck has pocket shrapnel, ie change, anymore? I don’t even have the once-customary container full of change, replete with quarters. So the machines which demand anywhere from $2 and higher, happily (greedily) accept credit and debit cards. Well, sort of. They take the money, chuckle internally, and watch as you attempt to use their inoperable air pump. Six dollars and three stops later, I finally discovered a working inflator, paid my $2, and actually got air. I don’t like relying on any technology that only works 25% of the time, so I decided to buy a portable tire inflator. Off to the digital shopping paradise Amazon, and a detailed look at the highest rated pumps. The UUP Tire Inflator/compressor seemed like it would fit the bill, and it was on sale for $39.95. From the first use on, I have found this handy little compressor to be just the ticket. Well-made, equipped with a long hose and a long power cord, it takes only a few minutes to inflate a tire to the proper pressure. I immediately bought another and put it in my daughter’s car, after showing her how to use it properly. Highly recommend. 10/10

> 3 dayI was wondering what the quality of this compressor was going to be since it was made in China. Well, this compressor seems well built and works GREAT!!! I filled a completely flat 235/60/16 tire to 40 psi in just 5 minutes!!! The compressor has a high quality sound when its running, very similar to much larger and expensive compressors. I bought a 250 watt DC to AC converter from Amazon for $45 so I could plug it into a wall outlet ( this draws more AMPS than what my cars outlet is rated at ) It works awesome with this converter, I would strongly recommend the purchase of one of these just for the added convenience that it brings. If you do purchase a DC to AC converter make sure it has a maximum rating of AT LEAST 250 WATTS. The reason for this is, if you purchase one that has the MINIMUM 180 watts that this compressor would require to run you are already at the MAXIMUM wattage the converter is rated at and you would have VERY LIMITED time to use it before it would overheat. Overall you cant go wrong with this portable compressor. The only thing unknown for me right now is what the longevity of this compressor will be.

> 3 dayThe UUP Portable Air Compressor comes complete with useful accessories for most all inflation needs that involve my car as well as around the home. Inflation tools are included for bike and car tires, as well as a device for inflating footballs & basketballs. Have used the Compressor to mostly check and inflate my Car tires. - The Compressor appears to be a good value for price paid - It contains some metal parts unlike other devices that were less expensive. - Would advise having an air gauge as part of the kit. I am not ready to trust included indicator that is part of the compressor, especially for low pressure readings. - I keep my UUP Air Compressor in the car trunk to address emergency situations for myself as well as others. - A Good Value for the money.

> 3 dayI think these 12v air pumps are a great emergency accessory to have in your car. With my son off at college, he took ours so I had to get a new one for home. While shopping for these I was disturbed to see some pumps that inflate fast, but draw so much power theyre likely to blow a circuit breaker in your car! It took some searching to find travel-friendly, but I think this threads the needle of inflating fast enough to be useful, but now so power-hungry you risk blowing a fuse. Its interesting that all these pumps now include direct battery cables, but lets be honest, its really inconvenient to pop the hood just to inflate some tires. I did a quick run on the tires of my truck to see how this works. First, the 12v cable seems reasonably thick and a good length. Im not a fan of the pivoting handle, but I suppose that helps it pack up a bit smaller. The main problem is just you have to flip it down to read the pressure gage, so you have to flip it up, and down over and over as you move around your vehicle. Next, I find the light a little gimmicky, but more importantly I constantly confused which side the light switch is on vs the pump switch. The coiled air-hose is a bit short, and I wish it came as a quickconnect instead of a thread-on. Since I have to use the coiled hose to reach the rear tires its an obnoxious step before and after use.

Greater than one weekI like it. Works great for keeping tire at recommended pressure. Much better than having to drive to the gas station. Havent filled a flat tire but top off time is minimal and the built in pressure gauge matches the handheld pressure gauge I have. For the price I am quite surprised at the quality and sturdiness of the inflator. I have only used it twice but at this point I have no complaints.

> 3 dayPurchased to inflate trailer tires to 80psi. Not sure if it will go much higher, but quickly got to that pressure with no delay. Would have been 5 stars but the built-in light does not work. That was an extra anyway and too much of a hassle to return it for a replacement.
