Magnesium anodes are definitely better than aluminum. This anode was reasonably priced, came with Teflon tape, and fit like a glove. So far, so good...

Needed rod for camper water heater. This 3 pk was perfect! Great value.

Easy to install

If you have never replaced the anod rod make sure you release the pressure in your tank prior to removing since the pressure in the tank could cause it to shoot out. I replace them every year to save the tank from corrosion.

Supposed to change these every couple years. This is first replacement since 2013. Different material so is much thicker but fit is excellent. Cost too is low so even if it needs replacing sooner, not a problem.
