> 3 dayHard to write a review when the item was just purchased and placed a week ago on the scooter. The fit is good. Straps placed well. What I’m waiting for is the high Florida heat I er the coming summer to see how the material holds up. It says product made for heat so we shall see. Hoping this is the last cover I have to buy. The last 4 did not withstand the heat.

Greater than one weekI live in coastal Central California, where seasonal wildfires and high winds can cause problems for motorcycles sitting outdoors, in terms of ashfall and dust accumulation, and I have just moved to a home with only a carport. My trusty 2005 Suzuki Burgman 400 has, however, up until now always been kept parked in an enclosed garage (when not in use) since I purchased it new, a long time ago. So I decided that, even parked in a carport, the Suzuki needs to be covered when left for any length of time. Ive bought many awful Chinese-made covers for cars over the years, some of which didnt even last one month in the intense summer sunlight here before crumbling. Id like to avoid repeating that mistake with a motorcycle cover. After much looking on the Internet, I decided to go with the Velmia cover, which is made in China but for a German company with a solid reputation. I got the 97 XL model, as recommended on the company site. The cover arrived today, and it fits the bike like a glove! It goes right over the windshield and mirrors, and is not too snug around the rear tire and bodywork. There are 3 straps, plus an elastic hem, to hold it onto the bike when the winds come up; Ill add an extra bungee cord or two around the middle of the bike. And there are slits for a lock on the front wheel, and for added ventilation around the handlebars. It looks great. Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not it can hold up over time, and I will update my review at some point in the future.

> 3 dayAfter a dozen motorcycles and 30-40 years of riding, this is finest motorcycle cover I have ever owned. I rarely write reviews, but this cover earned one. Fits my BMW R1200R like a glove. Includes a space for a passenger backrest, should I get one. Heavy vinyl leaves me confident that it will last for years. Dont balk at the price. I know, there are lots of cheaper covers on Amazon, but thats what they are: cheap. When the cheap covers on my other bikes wear out, I will look to Velmia for replacements.

> 3 dayIve been using some competitors products for many years, this felt much more durable for half of the money (though time will tell that aspect) right away. I really like the fact that there is no rubber band across the entire bottom part of the cover, only some parts, so it is easier to remove from the bike without getting stuck on every bolt and knuckle. I have the XL version, due to its size and thickness, this is probably not a great cover to carry with you all the time. My only issue is that I feel it is a bit short on the front, but I have a pretty tall touring screen; beyond that it is the cover I have the most trust for long term surivival among all the covers I bought in the past 10 years.

> 3 dayStrong, well-made, stays put in windy New England rainstorms. The last three scooter covers I bought were shredded within a year. It was totally worth paying a little more for one that’s going to last..
