A beauty of a board for a great price. The Volador showed up quickly, boxed in cardboard with some paper padding. Unlike some other reviewers that complained of shrink wrap embedded in the trucks, mine had no such issues. Thanks for listening to reviewers! The packaging method still allowed for it to shift in the box and there was a slight paint crack on one side, presumably from shipping. No big deal in this instance, since I’m not too concerned about it staying pristine. It is meant to be used, after all, but others might not be so lucky with transportation handling. Add a little foam on each end and it’ll go a long way to protecting during shipping. I’m new to long boarding, and only had a little experience as a kid with on a 1990s skateboard. This is a vast improvement. It was easy to balance and carve. I’m 160Ib and it handled my weight just fine. My 85Ib kid had a harder time steering. The board feels good and the trucks seem sturdy. After a couple rides the bushings really loosened up/broke in, so I had to tighten them up. No sign that the nuts or bolts are loosening, though. The bearings are ok. A couple of the bearings are making some noise after an hour of riding, which indicates they might not last all too long. Spacers are sized appropriately. Wheels are plenty soft for asphalt roads and cracks. Overall I’m definitely satisfied with the product. It’s getting me and my boys out of the house and around the neighborhood.

This is a great board. some of the hardware was loose but a quick tighten down and it was ready to ride. The graphics are really nice, the grip tape looks fantastic. Id add pictures but it is EXACTLY as pictured. This is superb and I would definitely buy this again.

I bought this to ride to my college classes and I use it all the time. It has held up pretty good and I havent gotten hurt riding it yet. For being an online low price board, I have no complaints.

So I ordered one of these because my sister has had for a year and its still in great shape. The board rides really smooth and has a nice amount of flex. It feels sturdy and not cheap. I am brand new to longboarding and wished I had found the hobby sooner. As a beginner, I think this is definitely worth the $60 I paid for it. However, I ordered the solar color, which has the solar system and a black space background in the product picture. The board I received has the same design but the space background is pastel pink. Im not sure if anyone else has experienced this if they ordered the solar board. The pink is cool and is growing on me every time I look at it, but it still took me by surprise.

I got this board for traveling from the dorms to class. While this is my first board and im still learning to ride i can tell that its a bit low quality. On arrival it came with ZERO packaging. Just the board, in a plastic bag, in a box. The first thing that i noticed was the misprint. As you can see from the pic, the decal isnt ruined, but the splotch is pretty noticeable and greatly detracts from the overall appeal. The trucks a pretty soft, having fairly deep gouging after a light scrape on the curb. The last big thing is that the top layer has separated and is now starting to split down the length of the board. I noticed it after just THREE DAYS into daily use, proceeding a minor leg fumble resulting in the board flipping a couple inches and landing on its side. I could never imagine anyone doing tricks on this board without it snapping in half. Maneuverability is good, allowing me to curve around most turns without over/under correcting. My Uni is lightly hilly with intermittent flats, performance on flat ground is OK but can be greatly improved with new bearings so Im told. Downhill is stable and picks up speed very well. Uphill is not to be bothered, expending more energy then is worth it, but i could just be a noob. Overall, good starting board, will definitely upgrade to something better at some point.

It is a great board but the wheels are definitely for starting out. Youre going to want to replace them

This was my very first board and I loved every second I rode on it. Everything about this board was smooth. The wheels and bearings let me move through campus easily and the trucks let the board turn whenever I needed it to. The only really problem was with the trucks, they squeeked a lot whenever you turned. This could be solved if you loosened the trucks a bit. For me, this board was perfect I would always borrow me friends boards whenever were out. The boards would either be too rigid, too flexible, or felt like they didnt turn at all. This board was a perfect balance of everything that made me always want to get back onto my board. The board does have a kick tail so it can be used for tricks whenever youre cruising. Im not skilled at tricks so the board experience some abuse over the months. Sadly, I put a little too much of my weight (only weight 170) on one end of the board and it snapped at the trucks. Im already missing the board and am definitely going to get it again once I can scrounge up some money for it (College life). Would recommend this board for anyone looking to get one for cruising.

Was a little jittery and wobbly as if the board was warped, but it’s pretty good after riding it for a while.

When I bought this, I had no longboarding experience. I had friends who all longboarded and I wanted to join them, so I started researching beginner boards. My primary reason for buying this particular board was actually the koi fish on the top and the pink and teal art on the bottom. I love riding this board and looking down to see the koi beneath my feet. I also love that I picked up a new hobby and its a great way to spend time with friends and explore new cities. Now Ive had it for about two years and its got some wear on it, but its been a great first board and I still ride it all the time.

so, this was my first longboard ever. i had been riding a ripstick for years, and as more and more of my friends kept purchasing long boards, i found myself being left behind the pack quite often. i figured it was time to pick one up. i pulled it out of the box, and i was ecstatic. the board is very high quality, especially for the price. the wood is sturdy and feels right. the decals on the top and bottom are beautiful, sharp, and clean, just like the pictures. as for the riding, it’s is pretty great. i rides very smoothly and quietly. the trucks came a bit tight, but i was a beginner so i ran with it. this, obviously, is a very easy fix and isn’t a gripe. there’s only two gripes i had with this board. one is very nitpicky. the plastic that the board comes wrapped in was wrapped between the trucks and the deck. which means i needed to loosen the trucks to remove it. like i said, that’s very nitpicky. the other gripe i have is the bearings aren’t going to last long. when i got them, if i were to doing the wheels, they’d make maybe 4-6 rotations. now, after about 5 days of excessive riding, i maybe get 2-3. That’s all for this layman’s review on this board.
