Bought this for my desk almost as a paper weight that brings me back to the nostalgic days of playing the NES at my Grandmas house. So fun I never owned the big ROB but I always thought R.O.B. was ahead of its time and and interesting part of video game history. I wanted something small and extremely affordable to look at remember R.O.B.

Link amiibo is used to get extra items or Epona in the game Breath of the Wild. It helps with gameplay but not necessary.

That would work for Christmas present it was great he likes it
