> 24 hourIt seems pretty nice, two layers make a medium weight quilt. In between two layers of cotton, halfway through pinning with safety pins, a tiny caterpillar that looked like a little worm until I saw it’s micro feet. Then another little bug crawled out. I guess I should have washed it. Had a slight chemical smell also I guyI should have washed it first.

> 24 hourWarm Company Twin Size Batting: I bought this for batting for placemats. I wanted something thin, not fluffy, and enough for a double layer if needed, plus, leftover batting for other projects. (The small packaged batting doesnt go very far and is more expensive per yard.) I washed it, but it didnt shrink much. Just cut off a section equal to the total needed for the placemats and soaked it in clean, warm water. Then I rolled it in a towel to press out the water and dried it on a rack. It handles nicely, although cutting off the section for the placemats was a bit challenging. Theres a small percentage of poly in it. 11/29/17 - I ended up doubling the batting and have enough left for at least one more set of four placemats (3 in all, plus some extra). 12/08/17 - Bought another twin-sized package for making a table runner and more placemats. 01/07/18 - Bought another twin-sized package for making placemats and table runners. Just a little left over for making test quilt sandwiches.

> 24 hourIm making my first quilt... I was going to order poly-fil batting but a friend (and quilting veteran) advised me to buy a small amount of it from Walmart first (partly to practice quilting on and partly to preview the quality)... She told me cotton is the way to go, but I had read that synthetic would be warmer... I got a small amount of synthetic batting and tried to practice with it, and I ended up ordering this Warm company cotton batting for my actual quilt... heres my comparison: Synthetic (NOT this product): The batting thickness was very inconsistent - extremely thin in places (consistent with the reviews) and bunched up where it was folded... this bunching was not fixable. It seemed like poly-fil (like for pillows) had been rolled out into layers and I could very easily rip the batting up into pieces. It was also difficult to cut because of this. The whole sheet was translucent. Warm and Natural (THIS product): This is like a blanket by itself - not translucent, and even thickness throughout. Thin enough to be easy to work with, but dense and obviously very WARM! It would not be possible to rip it in half with my hands, and it cut easily with sheers like any other thick fabric. I am SO GLAD I listened to my friend and got the cotton. It was the same price as the synthetic, easier to work with, and very obviously of a MUCH higher quality.

> 24 hourI purchased this with the Insul-Bright insulated batting to make oven mitts and pot holders for Christmas gifts. I sandwiched the insulated batting between two layers of this cotton batting and the projects turned out nicely. If youre looking to make a thin throw light quilt this product is the way to go. Warm & Natural seems to be a good brand. I havent bought anything from them that I havent liked so far. The batting is thin (as most cotton battings are I would imagine) and this had no noticeable seeds or anything that would impeded my sewing. I recommend it.

> 24 hourI tried another brand of batting for a quilt I was making. But after prewashing it as recommended, and seeing that it looked bunched up in places afterwards, I decided not to use it and went back to The Warm Company. This is the only batting I will use from now on. And it needs no prewashing beforehand.
