> 24 hourI have been re-watching the previous seasons trying to decide whether or not to purchase Season 7. My concern is that, apparently, Hope Valley is where personalities go to die. What happened to Florence? She was a feisty and down-to-earth, salt of the earth type character. You need to get back on the stagecoach and go back to Latin or wherever it is you came from! But now shes a hand clasping, tight mouthed, prissy little conformist that has absolutely nothing to do except for complain and meddle in other peoples affairs. And Rosemary! I get it. She needed to tone down a little bit. She is a wife now and she has matured. Shes become more loving and generous and a much better friend. But she is the one who rode into town, climbed up on the stage coach and got her own luggage for goodness sake! She was a juggling, horse jumping, pistol shooting, piano playing, songstress and glamorous actress. Did she have to lose herself completely and become so predictable and uninteresting? This show is very contradictory. It preaches the message of girls can do anything that boys can do. (Canned and unbalanced.) But then it systematically dulls and dumbs down its female characters into love sick, cow towing, accommodating, cooking, catering, sewing, party planning, look alikes! And Abigail! I really never got why she became such a cheerleader for Gowan, the man she said killed her husband, her son, and 45 other miners. I understand forgiveness, but she became his advocate! Confusing. This show is all over the place. Interesting characters disappear. Parents disappear or stop parenting. Children vanish. Story lines are dropped. Why does Molly not seem to have a daughter anymore since Season 1? You never see them together. Weird.

> 24 hourA fun little show, that is neither historically accurate, or based on any reality we know - but that being said, it is a wonderful lil’ fantasy about how life should be

> 24 hourA refreshing change of venue. This is strictly a family show. No bloody violence, swearing or F bombs, thank goodness. The show is utopia, probably what everyone wishes for their lives to be, simple. A small town committed to its friends and neighbors. Everyone pitches in when someone is in need. The town is one big family. Maybe for some, it is a way to show that there is love everywhere and it is not so important to have swearing or violence. The love connections are wholesome and somewhat silly (kissing with closed mouths) but refreshing nevertheless. It would not be appropriate to have any other kind of kiss in this type of series. Hallmark gets an A+ on my report.
