> 3 dayI am new to CNC carving, and purchased a few starter bits, this being one of them. I can tell the difference between the higher quality bits and the get what you pay for bits. This bit is very sharp and does a nice job. Very little tearing of the edges of the wood. The bit wasnt very much more expensive than the cheap ones, and has lived up to my expectations so far. Would recommend Whiteside bits right up there with Amana bits. I just ordered a 3 piece set of Whiteside ballnose bits for 3D(2.5D) carving, cant wait to try them as my get what you pay for bits are dull already.

> 3 dayI use this in my CNC for cutting wood. I was using a Niagara 1/4” endmill before. It was cutting okay but was starting to leave really stringy cuts in pine and birch plywood. Pretty sure it was getting dull, but still never cut as well as this one. It was also not cutting dimensionally accurate at all, and the cuts showed some lines (both of which I attributed to the CNC setup, not the bit). I’ve never been let down by Whiteside so I decided to order up a couple of these. MAN AM I GLAD I DID! The cut quality was SO MUCH better AND more accurate with this bit!! Just changing to this bit made my dimensions 100% accurate, and saved me SO. MUCH. SANDING. SO. SO. MUCH. Because I’m using this to make products to sell, this bit literally is saving me money on my finished products, by way of saving me many hours of sanding/finish work. I’ve had good luck and spoke highly of Whiteside before, but now I’m straight up a Whiteside evangelist! I’ve had great luck with Whiteside, Freud and Amana bits. Those cheaper bits can get the job done (like Ryobi), I’ve really found lately that the finished cuts coming off quality bits really is worth the extra couple bucks.

> 3 dayWhiteside router bits are supposed to be the Cadillac of these kinds of tools. Mine must have beed a Monday morning after a long weekend product. It sure isnt as sharp as expected tough still cuts but you really cant push it, even in pine

Greater than one weekIve cut through about 48 linear feet of 3/4 MDF (medium density fiberboard) and the bit is still almost as sharp as when it was brand new. MDF is notorious for dulling all types of saw blades and router bits. Im happy with how well the Whiteside bits are holding up. Ive used other brands of spiral bits that were dull after just a few uses in MDF.

> 3 dayThis bit did a great job. It is crazy sharp and holds its edge well. I use it in an older 3/4 hp router to cut through 1/2 oak pallet wood thats edge glued to make 30x30 squares. I then use the router in a home made circle jig to cut out 28 clock faces from the wood. The router bit cuts well, doesnt skip a beat on glue joints, and has held its edge well for four clock faces. Recommended.

> 3 dayIve always had good experiences with Whiteside bits. I had been using a Bosch bit from Lowes and decided to try one of these in my CNC. The cut was excellent in the maple I was using. Havent used it enough to know how long it will last, but so far, Im very satisfied.
