I have a number of Whiteside bits (as well as Amana, Freud, and Lee Valley, purchased as needed and with some sensitivity to price, as they are all good), and while a hobbyist would probably never notice the differences, Whiteside does seem to make a superior product. This is an excellent bit for mortising with a plunge router..

Havent gotten to use it very much but was impressed with the material feed it was able to handle when I did use it. Currently building a new machine as the one it got used in kept turning off the spindle in going home through my project mid project... Already fixed that problem but now just figuring better for fun.

Its a very high quality bit. I got it to cut slots in my new beech butcher block. Excellent finish
