While tough to push they really do what they are suposed to do and make a dent in what your drilling. the spring is strong and the point holds up. Really good quality.

I had a auto punch before that was smooth and worked without a lot of effort. This one requires a lot of effort to deploy and doesnt leave a really strong punch in steel. Does work just not the best one out there.

This product is okay for wood but not for metal. Rebuilding my dad’s 1954 Chevy pickup and thought by the description of this product it would help me center and drill holes in metal. Not so. If you need something to help drilling in metal, get you a center punch and hammer not this product. Also there were no instructions included. I am keeping the product for wood working only.
