WiOn 50051 Indoor Wi-Fi Smart Surge Protector; 6 Grounded Outlets

Works ok. Make sure to have a strong signal to one wireless router because the device can only be assigned to one router. There is no automation API support. The company is secretive about it. Has limited purpose.

I was expecting to control the 4 Wifi controlled outlets separately but they are all controlled together. Would be worth the $40 price if it had better features such as being able to control individual outlets and also the ability to set timers that control specific outlets. I would suggest the seller update the listing to indicate that the outlets are not controlled individually since the only place it says that is in the small instruction manual provided, even the box just says 4 Wi-Fi controlled outlets and doesnt say they are controlled together.

First off let me say setup was easy. Second the app is nice easy design. Now the problems the app controlled sockets turn off randomly and it says bad WiFi signal even though it’s in the same room (probably 15-20 feet away from router which is an orbi so there should be no problem). Lastly I tried contacting company and have yet to receive a reply and that is the biggest reason for the low rating.

Bought this because my fiancee was always worried if she remembered to turn her straightener off when she left the house. Easy to set up and works great....PROBLEM SOLVED! Customer Support is great as well. I switched internet providers and they emailed me back promptly on how to reset and connect to a new network!

I could not get this product to function on account of the app.

The 2 constants are nice, but if you didnt read, the timers affect all the outlets ( except the constants ).

I am not that handy with this stuff and learned the hard way that following the instructions really helps. The temptation for me is to look at things and think it is instinctive. Dont do that. Follow the directions and you will be successful the first time. it works really well.

I bought this to control lighting and fan ventilation on a timer for a heavily planted terrarium, and I really wanted to like it. I was getting tired of constantly turning on and off the lights, not to mention frequently forgetting to do it on time (resulting in a wide range of photoperiods from day to day, not good for plant growth). This worked great the first couple days, but then it started turning itself off at random times, anywhere from 3-10 pm (I have it set to shut off at 11 pm every day). Id turn it back on from the app, and the next time I checked (maybe an hour later), it had already turned itself off again. This has been happening every single day since the issue first started. In fact, using this outlet strip is probably more work than when I was turning the lights on and off myself manually. Ive deleted the daily timer program I set up and added it back again thinking that might help, but Im going to return it, its just way too unreliable. Its almost like its using random mode even though Ive set it up to use timer mode. The app also looks (and functions) like it was designed by a high school student... its terrible. TL;DR: zero stars, dont buy it

App is very bad. Had to upgrade to another model as I wanted to control individual outlets on a certain timed schedule for seed starting.
