This was my 4th hammock and its the best price and value that all the others. This one (Double Wide) is replacing an Eno Double Wide. The Wise hammock seems slightly larger both in width and length but I havent checked the measurements to compare accurately. The Wise hangs a little lower on the same than the Eno did for the same distance of my poles. Of course you can take up the extra slack by turning more to the side to tighten up how it lays. I really like that part, it gives me more options. The weave of the fabric seems tighter. It was in the rain for a couple of days and was holding water in the bottom, while the Eno never did that. But, I consider that a feature, not a bug. To me it means its stronger. The only negative Ive found after a month or so of use is the hammock has seemed to stretch a little leaving me much lower to the ground. That could be good if youre worried about something breaking, you have a lower drop. But for me it means its really hard to get out of. Because its a double wide the stretch means Im really down in it. When I get my legs over the side, by butt is really low, almost on the ground with my legs now higher. About the only way Ive found to get out is to roll over the edge to the ground and then stand up. If my poles were further apart it would help but for now its what it is. Besides that, I do like the hammock, seems to be good quality and Im comfortable in it. In fact, I like it so much, I just ordered one of their pillows to go with it.

After wanting a hammock for years, I finally decided to get one. I read the reviews on this one, everyone seemed to like it and it was a great price point. I was not disappointed, my family absolutely loves this hammock! This was so easy to put up right out of the bag I didn’t need instructions. Granted I had an idea of how it was going to attach to the tree but I was pretty proud of myself having never put up a hammock before. I’m glad I got the double, it was great for two people, and plenty roomy when it was just yourself. Also very sturdy! We plan on adding at least one more Wise Owl Hammock to our collection because everyone was fighting over this one!!

No joke. So this hammock was one of our sheltered-at-home pandemic purchases. I had low expectations as most of my hammocks over the years have fizzled pretty quick. Wow. Wise Owl makes an exceptional hammock. Super comfy. Super strong. How strong? A few weeks ago, California was flooding in an atmospheric storm. Our property was hit hard. Wr lost four trees including a 82-foot pine this hammock was secured to on one end. On the other end was an oak about 25 feet tall and upslope a bit from the pine. On New Year’s Eve, winds here hit 50 mph sustained and gusts over 75. The pine was mostly dead, but the hill just couldn’t hold any more water and the entire 82-foot pine came down — totally uprooted out of the Earth. When I came out the next morning to inspect the damage, the hammock was still in rock solid shape if stretched out a bit. It didn’t even fray. The seals were solid as ever. The carabiner stretched out as you can see in this photo, but it was still holding the weight of the tree that came down. The straps around the oak carved an inch deep into the tree with all that weight on the other end, but they held. No straps broke or frayed even the slightest. I had to use a knife to cut it off. Unbelievable how strong Wise Owl’s straps and carabiners are, and how durable their hammocks. And yes — super comfy. They’re worth 3 or 4 times their cost. I just bought another two.

The material is super durable and I love that there is enough fabric to cover you from mosquitos should you want to sleep outside. It is so very comfortable just testing it out for a few minutes almost rocked me right to sleep!

My boyfriend is not into getting presents. And alllll about giving presents. So when i saw him smiling while setting it up I knew. This hammock is very easy to set up and take down. Really well made. This is one of those rare gifts to give to gift haters. seriously it’s so great we are ordering one for me and one for each of our kids. YES THEY HAVE LITTLE KID’S HAMMOCKS.

This hammock is amazing! When youre looking at twice as much or more for some of the more well known camping/backpacking/UL brands, this is a great alternative, either for getting into hammock camping or for people like me who dont have hundreds to spend on gear. With a few adjustments (adding a ridgeline is the best) this is ready to go. I got the double since Im tall and a squirmy sleeper, and I wanted something comfy enough to sit in without having to take my shoes off. I havent done it yet, but its so easy to set up/tear down with the attached stuff sack and the long tree straps, I could imagine breaking for lunch mid-hike and setting this up for 20-30 mins to prop your feet up! Im 511 and 200lbs, and both me and my partner can fit in this thing with only some elbow-and-arm-placement-based discomfort. It fits me widthwise and for asym laying it fits and then some, no worry of being too close to the edge on either side. If youre on the fence, grab this and try taking a nap - youll be hooked on hammock camping. I know Im never going to sleep on the ground again!
