I purchased this fingerling monkey after I felt like I kept seeing them everywhere. I figured they must be popular with the kids since they are in so many stores and advertised so much. I have to be honest I didn’t know much about them. I guess you just never know what “hooks” kids so I figured fingerling had the secret. Well. They don’t. I gave this to my daughter and she wasn’t the least bit interested. It doesn’t even do that much. It makes some sounds and moves but it’s really not captivating. My other complaint is that it gets scratched really easily. As we all know kids drop their stuff a lot. So the first few times I tried to entice my daughter (and she dropped it ) I noticed the monkey was scratched. I am not going to buy anymore of these. They just don’t do enough to grasp or hold a child’s attention. What a waste.

My 6 year old daughter asked for a fingerling. Paid $5.99. She seemed to lose interest pretty quickly, so this may be more appropriate for a 4 or 5 year old. Great price. Would be a good gift for young kids.
