this is the second pack I have used and I love them to be able to connect the power end at the DVR to my multi unit power supply ,I can use number 18 wire from them to my power supply.

I had to build a fan power cable with 8 drops, and these things worked great.

Quality is good

I do a lot of work with solar panels and 12 volt systems like LEDs and cameras in my work and these are quick and easy to use solderless connectors for most common 12V systems. I will purchase more of these when I run low for sure.

These are perfect for why I wanted them -- ease of connections -- but I didnt think about two other significant aspects: short circuit risk and strain on wires. (1) There is obviously no strain relief in this design so these are not very well suited for a connection that will move around. At least with thin wires, they will tend to bend at a right angle at the terminals. And of course we all know what happens when you bend metal over and over again. (2) It is easy to have some bare wire peeking out when you connect the wire to these but the terminals are so close together that this is a very significant short circuit risk. So make sure you only strip exactly what you need to get into the screw terminals so the wires are still insulated coming out of them.
