XVX Womier K87 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Gateron Switch TKL Hot Swappable Keyboard Partitioned RGB Backlit Compact 87 Keys for PC PS4 Xbox (White, Red Switch)

This is the keyboard I chose for my first PC, and its wonderful!! I love how the appearance, and all the possibilities the keyboard comes with :) theres a lot of different lighting / LED options to choose from in my opinion. I got the red switches and theyre very nice! not too loud but enough to get that satisfying typing sound ^^ Overall: a cute keyboard that does its job!

This keyboard works, is already nice stock, and I personalized it to my preference by replacing the Gateron Blue with Kailh BOX Jade, and the stock OEM shimethru keycaps with XDA Manekineko keycap set. I read a review that apparently, due to the hotswap nature, the keys and keyswitches fall out of the board if you flip it upside down- this does not at all happen for me. If anything, the keyswitches are to me quite firmly in there- there are some little recesses in the acrylic for the keyswitch hooks to fit into. I suspect the other reviewer may have improperly installed their switches, or used very worn out or misshapen switches. I saw in another reviewer complain the boards plastic case is flimsy and will flex if you twist it. It does flex a little when I twist it but thats such a weird and deliberate action- the cases slight flex is just not an issue at all for daily typing and use. Maybe this is a problem if you bring your keyboard with you in a flexible bag? But I feel the reports of this keyboard being too flexible are very exaggerated. I noticed the stock images show different keycap fonts on the keycaps. I attached a pic of my stock keycaps to show the font used on the version I received in Feb 2021. It is a much cleaner font than the kind of ugly font you see on most cheap shinethrough keycaps.

The keyboard is really colorful and feels really nice. I bought the blue switches and it’s really nice to type with. I game with this keyboard as well and it does exactly what it’s supposed to. The only complaint I have about this keyboard is that it does not have bottom legs/stands to elevate the keyboard to a certain position like most keyboards do. Other than that, it’s a great keyboard overall.

Im just entering the world of mechanical keyboards and customizing them. The Womier (Gamakay) K87 is a WONDERFUL starter board. It would have been perfect on its own. The sound is great and the feel is sooo smooth, but I chose to swap out the keycaps to pudding caps, lubed the switches and added some dampener rings because I wanted it to be good for my quiet office setting. Its working out perfectly!

Watched a few reviews about this keyboard on YouTube and was surprised to see so many positive things about it. Cant get much better than this for price. Ive have it for only a couple of days but so far Im in love. Lots of different lighting options and great click noises (red switches). Definitely an upgrade from my last keyboard. 10/10 Recommend!!!

I love my new white keyboard, its the perfect size. The red switches are linear and feel amazing without being too clickety. Planning on trying some new pudding keycaps but it isnt necessary. The controls are easy to learn and manage and the RGB looks amazing with the snow frosted base.

update - company was very willing to fix issues & work with me to solve this problem The RGB feature of the base is messed up after about a month of use. I use the keyboard with it off but it’s still frustrating how fast it broke.

This is a great product to get started with if youre just getting into the wonderful world of mechanical keyboard customization. Keys and switches are great. Very responsive and feels stable and sturdy. My only two things Id call out for anyone else. The right shift key doesnt come with stabilizers so its the only key thats ever so slightly wobbly. Also, if youre a Mac user, dont be like me and try to go based on your machines key configuration. Theres no way to override the default Document hotkeys when fn is crossed with an arrow key and becomes and page up or down command. The fn key isnt the one you need, its the modifier key two spaces to the right of the spacebar, regardless of what you have that key set to. I used Karabiner Elements to remap and their Event Viewer keylogger to confirm Id remapped my fn key to something else but the keyboard would not respond. Finally dawned on me to try using the original fn key according to keyboard and it worked exactly like the instructions said after that!

I didnt use the stock keycaps nor switches. The hotswap method is great and made swapping switches great. The angle of the board is a bit flat so prepare for that. The stabilizers (plate mounted) are below average and the space bar was rattly despite holee modding. This was fixed once I swapped them out however.

This is a good keyboard and it is bright, maybe a little too bright but you could just turn it down which is what I do. Love the fact that it is hot swap so I could change the switches that I like most. Over all a good keyboard
