I bought this specifically to cut holes in my popcorn ceiling for recessed lighting. It was not a problem at all cutting through the drywall.

It didnt last doing 1 hole in aluminum

This thing worked great for me; key words being “for me.” Reason being, I just used this to cut through kayak plastic to install two hatches and some upgrades to my Ascend 133x. As you could imagine, the plastic is only so hard and it’s not much of a challenge for any metal hole saw. But that can especially be said for this Yougfin hole saw. The teeth are sharp. They’re not cut-your-skin sharp like Milwaukee hole saws can be, but they’re definitely sharper (and of higher quality) than Black and Decker and this hole saw does just fine for plastic; it created smooth edges and I can tell that they’d work well on wood, too. The bit easily screwed right onto the hole saw and it stayed together while boring the holes in my yak. The metal of the hole saw did come with some minor pitting, but it wasn’t (and isn’t) of much concern for my personal application. I do think that the spring is a little stiff, but likewise, it’s not exactly a vital part in my application. The hole saw did get warm after boring the two different holes in ~1/2” plastic, but as you could imagine, there wasn’t much heat created at all; not any to cause concern, at least. I was able to do all of this with my Ryobi drill, so you don’t need much power for the lighter and softer materials that you may be drilling through. And like my set of Ryobi tools, they can stand out from the rest at times due to their bright color; I just seem to notice green before orange and yellow. I am happy with this and I do recommend it for applications similar to mine. I would like to thank Amazon for allowing me to be a part of their Vine program. Used for holes in the ceiling. Made it through two before the hole saw was completely full and unable to cut anymore. Not worth the money.

I think these will work to an acceptable level. I wish they had a carry case to keep them together though.
