Zilla is the best. Even if my reptile flips the water dish over the stuff never molds or smells gross. Every order this every month for my many critters like a Tegu and chubby frog . Also, when I change their cages every week or week and a half I throw a used bark in my garden. I like that I don’t have to throw this away and I can use it as ground mulch afterwards.

I was completely floored at the size of the bag. (Yes, I know, I know, my fault completely for assuming it was at least in the neighborhood of being a reasonable amount...) Summing it up, Ive bought shoes that came in shoeboxes bigger than the box this bag arrived in. It was pointless to even bother putting it in my 50 gallon reptile habitat: it wouldnt have even made one flat layer across the bottom surface. I ended up just dumping it into a couple of potted plants outside to hold the moisture in the soil. This made me even more angry because I needed to tend to my reptiles livlihood....I wasnt planning on settling for mild gardening that day. My GOOD NEWS? I just got back from Home Depot with a 57 liter bag. (The size of a super- bulk size bag of dog food intended for Great Danes. (HUGE!) I spoke at length with the Supervisor in H.Depot gardening. It is the SAME EXACT STUFF. Not chemically treated whatsoever. Heated to kill any critters, microscopic to creepy-crawly sized. And the bark chips are the exact same size as this Zilla stuff. My Home Depot price, including tax? $5.10. I will NEVER AGAIN buy BARK from pet stores or online pet supply vendors, paying them 200% more than the exact BARK sold at garden and nursery retailers!

Came in a big bag which will last me forever. The only mess you is the dust and slivers of wood it leaves behind. Easy to scoop out and toss when dirty. Pieces of bark are the size of a penny to about a quarter but very. Created gecko approved.

My snake seems to love this bedding, and it is a lot nicer to deal with than the shavings. It looks nice and smells nice

Put in a box turtle cage after doing research and all the pet stores use this in their reptile cages. We tried dirt, but it just molded. I bought some moss at dollar store to go with and he loves burying himself in the moss. All in all much happier turtle.
