Zilla Terrarium Heat Mats Black Small, 10-20 Gallon, 8 Watt

Plenty of heat and well insulated. This is the best out of three different brands that I currently own. Some are saying the adhesive doesnt work, mine didnt have any and that is just fine since I prefer not to stick something permanently to the tank. I use foil tape, the type thats used to duct work in heating and air (no this isnt duct tape so dont use that or you will have a sticky mess.

its a great product, works well for what I have intended to do with as a bottle wormer. would get another one.

Our ABF is finally active! We keep a cool house - 66F, so i got a large and a medium for a corner of 20 gal long tank. His temperature range is much better now. Hes been eating well and using his space. We also have a CHE and a light, but that alone wasnt enough. We have them on a timer, so they get to cool off for a few hours each night. Also excellent for dubias and crickets. Gotta make sure that his food gets good care, too!

Ive bought several Zilla heat mats which I have attempted to apply to the side of my tanks, after first thoroughly cleaning the glass. They peel off every time. Every time. I hate them now. Do yourself a favor and buy Zoo Med brand. Ive never had a problem with those. The one thing I like about this mat is that it is a great size. If it would stick to the tank it would be perfect for me. Alas its going straight into the trash after two days of use.

Buy ZOOMED instead. I bought this Zilla and it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the tank, it heats good, I have it taped to the bottom but sags, going to go back to Zoo Med, I’ve used them for years and shouldn’t have switched brands.

At first I thought these heat mats were gonna be perfect. Not so! Less than a month later they started to peel away from the tank a bit but I would press them back down and it seemed ok. A couple months now and I can’t keep them attached at all. Don’t know if it was a bad batch with poor tack ability or if they are always this poorly made. Very disappointed. On top of that once the mat peels away the thermostat goes crazy trying to heat the air to 90 degrees so you can imagine how hot the mat is. Again I’m just very disappointed. I bought 3 at the same time. Only 1 barely sticks. A waste of hard earned money.

it works just fine. leopard gecko seems quite happy and has no complaints. its little, but just enough for him.

Use this for our eyelash gecko. He doesnt need to stay a consistent temperature, but he was too cold in our kitchen in the winter (especially at night, when we turn down our heat to save energy). This mat warms his cage just enough to keep him happy.

Got this for my ball python viv. Works great.
