I bought this product specifically because the description said each socket could hold up to 160 W bulbs. I open the package and it says on the product that It can only go up to 100 W. Immediately returned

Careful watch and make sure your getting the right size. This looks big but is small for maybe a 10 Gallon tank. Works great love the product just wish id payed more attention to the size.

Had to write a review on this lamp. Noticed all the negative reviews. If you use this lamp as indicated, you should have no problems. First, this lamp should include bulbs at 120v/100watts “Max”. Some reviews stated the 150 watt bulb blew - its a max of 100 watts per housing socket. I’m surprised it lasted that reviewer 3 months. Overloading the socket, even one, is dangerous. Second: bulbs should be similar to those in my pics, unless using a colored bulb which is similar to your household bulb. Noticed a long or slim UVB lamp in some of the pics submitted. This light should NOT be used with this housing. It actually goes with a single housing unit by Zoo Med. Third: Use gloves (not the thin latex bulbs) when inserting/removing bulbs. Let them cool prior to removing. I learned the hard way to avoid touching the bulbs as your hands naturally have oil on them. I’ve had lights stop working bc I touched them. Fourth: Please pay attention to the instructions on the boxes of your fixtures and bulbs as well as the maximum wattage. I used this with my Reptile in a 20 gallon tank and it worked great. Fifth: Get a quality temperature gun to test how much temp is reaching your reptile. I have a hammock and would test the hammock where my reptile basks. Cheap thermometers and strips do not give accurate results. Sixth: please do not use colored bulbs for your reptile; especially the red bulbs. I also made that mistake but was fortunate to find out fairly soon. They actually do more harm than good. You can add years to the life of your Reptile by not using colored lamps. You can see the type of bulbs I use for heat and day basking. Lastly, if you have a bearded dragon, you do not necessarily need a 100 watt bulb at night. Remember, they are desert reptiles and should be significantly cooler at night. I was using a 100 watt heat lamp but due to the to findings from my “quality” temperature gun, I realized a 60 or 75 watt. depending on how close the heat is to your reptile, a 60 or 75 watt was sufficient. Also, I have a much larger terrarium now and the 60 watt heat lamp is perfect for night. Again, a good heat thermometer will help with determining the warmth of your reptile. Hopefully, this helps those who may be thinking this is a poor product. When used properly and with the correct bulbs, it should last a long time. I’ve had mine for over two years and no issues. It still works beautifully. I was not paid to write this review. I do not work for this company. Even though I purchase most things like this on Amazon, not sure I purchased this lamp from here. I just thought the product was getting a bad rap, when in truth, many reviewers were not using it properly.

Love that I can have a separate plug for each bulb. Does not overheat. Put this up and my turtle instantly went to sleep under it.

This is a great UVB and heat light combo at a much much cheaper price than at my local pet stores. I love the smaller size than two seperate domes for a heat bulb and UVB bulb. I love the handle attached to this kit as it is easy to lift to vacuum all the ladybugs that crawl under it and any reptile food and dust bunnies that get trapped below. My beardies love it !!

Good lamp and source for my baby bearded dragons however, I woke up this morning to a dead heat lamp and sad animals. These are supposed to last a year..., right?
