Doesnt get hot, but provides the UV my turtle needed to be healthy. Its a cool colored fluorescent, build quality is good.

First one they sent came broken,they replaced which I appreciated then this one blew after 3 weeks and I cant replace it!

Repurchased several times. My turtle is thriving.

If good for year

I use it for my russian tortoise, Franklin, who is a desert dwelling tortoise. Adds extra heat to the enclosure too.

Its brightish but takes a good 5 minutes before it lights up completely. Doesnt seem to give off enough light but we shall see. Overall Im disappointed in the quality of this item and only thing Amazon will do is have us return it. Which is not worth the hassle.
