Plug and play with no special drivers needed. Coverted an extra SPF+ port on our firewall appliance to RJ45 so we could use it for a 2nd LAN. Only been a couple days in production, but appears to be working well.

Instatant install on my Dell desktop. Connection speed shows 10gb while connected to my 10gb switch. No adjustments or setting changes. Would by more if needed if future.

First these work great in ubiquiti switches at 10Gbe. I originally had a 10Gbe nic in my desktop but when I switched my gpu to a 4070ti, it wouldnt fit anymore so I switched to the on board 2.5Gbe. To my surprise it linked at 2.5 instead of 1Gbe like I thought it would. The switch of course shows its linked with the module at 10Gig.

Upload is severally capped on the UDM Pro with this transceiver, max I could get was 300mbps.

They work perfectly with SFP+ devices, making a 10Gbps connection in my Lan really fast, and I get the full 2.5Gbps Internet connection as well.

I upgraded to Spectrums Gig speed and bought my own Arris SF33 cable modem which has the 1Gbit and 2.5Gbit port. Before I got this SFP to connect to the Ubiquity Dream Machine Pro, I was getting around 800Mbit/s down. Afterwards I got around 1100Mbit/s. It was plug and play with the Dream Machine Pro into the WAN2 SFP+ port. I also purchased a new CAT6 cable to make sure I had a good quality cable. The Dream Machine Pro failed over to the SFP+ port once I disconnected WAN1 and it was up and running.

I got this to try out with some Catalyst switches and every single one of them reports from a show inventory that there is an unsupported transceiver in the port. I tried to override the nanny but 4 different model catalyst switches all refused to function. The same is true for the fiber GBIC modules. None of the 10gtek or other 3rd party fiber connectors work, ONLY genuine Cisco transceivers. Its not that big of a deal with the fiber though because those are less than 10 bucks used but the ethernet 10gig connectors are several hundred dollars. That said, this device works perfectly fine in the mikrotik 10g switches, an aruba 10g switch port and a ubiquiti 10g switch so it DOES have its uses, just dont expect it to work with a Catalyst.

I have a 500Mbps synchronous line when I moved from RJ45 to this I cannot go above 10Mbps on my upload speed. I bought another adapter directly from Ubiquiti and that one works fine.

Im using a NAS as an external hard drive (using self-signed IP) using 10G thanks to this transceiver, as well as general NAS for the rest of the home on regular 1G 1.
