> 3 dayA 10GBase-T SFP+ 30m module (Marvell 88X3310) from another vendor wouldnt link beyond 5GBase-T (but typically only 1000Base-T) on my longest run of Cat5E. I had been able to successfully push 10 Gbps over a run ~3x this distance by going from my X550-AT2 back to my X550-AT2, so knew the failure to achieve full speed links was likely a power issue. I bough this 10Gtek 10GBase-T SFP+ 80m (Broadcom BCM84891) module to see if I could reliably achieve >1000Base-T on this run. I am now reliably getting 10GBase-T and can transmit/receive at expected speeds. Overall I am happy with the results, however I do have one significant complaint — this module does not report temperature. I knew to expect no DDM/DOM reporting, however prior experience had shown that modules claiming no DDM/DOM reporting would typically still report module voltage & temperature, and reviews on a different 10GBase-T SFP+ 80m (Broadcom BCM84891) module from another vendor on Amazon had said that temperature reporting was working on that module, so I had been hopeful for the same to be true with this module. Unfortunately that is not the case. Given how hot all 10GBase-T SFP+ modules tend to run, this is a significant shortcoming, so Ive knocked a star off for this. Outside of that, I have no other complaints, and am otherwise quite happy so far with this module. However I plan on giving the other 10GBase-T SFP+ 80m (Broadcom BCM84891) module a try next due to the alleged support for temperature reporting and ~11% cheaper pricing, so I dont intend to re-purchase from 10GTek for the next two 10GBase-T SFP+ 80m (Broadcom BCM84891) modules Ill be buying.

Greater than one weekThis is for the 80 meter version. It was able to get me full 10GBps on cat 5e run thats about 50 feet long, and going through a patch panel. The 30 meter version got me to 5GBps on the same exact run. The 30 meter version got full 10 GBps on a shorter direct run, not going through any patch panel but still using cat5e. Great products, I get transfers from pc to QNAP at average 500 MB (Megabytes) per second. If transferring to or from an NVME that speed doubles. The QNAP is the other short direct run at 10GBps. Using this in a TP-Link Switch (TL-SG3210XHP-M2), works as expected. It was recognized instantly with no configuration needed to make it work.

> 3 dayWorks as ezpected, make sure you get a cat 6 or cat 7 cable with it as cat5 does not support 10 gig.

19-04-2025Just wanted to confirm what somebody said last year, it works perfectly with the SFP+ port on the Asus RT-AX89X router.

> 3 dayJust make sure your compatibility is right. I use 10Gtek 10gbit modules with mikrotik routers and switches and netgear, just make sure to get the right compatibility. Works well. I have some of these well over a year with zero issues. Ive used a lot of 10Gtek cables, dacs and modules and they have been pretty solid.

> 3 dayNot sure if I got a faulty one or not but I’ve been running tests for an hour now and I can’t even get close to 1G speeds. On my computer it’s says it is connected at 10G but when I actually do anything it’s super slow . I even went down to only 1 meter and still terrible speeds. Speed test for example on a regular 1G Ethernet cable I can get 950Mbps but when I use the 10G TX i only get 325Mbps.

Greater than one weekI have purchased approximately 30 of these over the last year and they have worked flawlessly. Im never buying the expensive Cisco/Meraki branded modules again.
