Plugged them in and have gotten the throughput I expected.

I intend to do Link Aggregation to a managed switch from my X10 and wanted to have the router SFP+ port accept my internet data (WAN). I plugged in this module, plugged in the RJ45 cable from my ISP and I was up and running. This increased my internet response noticeably. I say again, this increased my internet response noticeably. Now I can link my router to a switch with aggregation and boost the whole house network a little. Very nice product. Packaging screams quality and it does not disappoint.

I tried using this adapter to make a connection between a Ubiquiti 10G SFP+ port and an Ubiquiti 2.5G RJ-45 port and it it could not make a data connection. (I tried this with an Enterprise 8 POE and an Enterprise 24 POE, in both directions and no neither worked.) However a pair of these were able to create a 10G connection between the SFP+ ports on the two switches. Also, these modules get *extremely* hot — too hot to touch — when plugged in (even when the RJ-45 is empty). I’m worried that might not be good for my switch… EDIT: It appears this limitation is based on the Unifi devices (specifically, their 10G SFP+ ports cannot run at 2.5G) rather than this module.

I used it in a Sonnet Solo10G thunderbolt 4 adapter to my desktop PC to directly connect my Synology NAS. It works as advertised, superfast.

These work great with the current Ubiquiti product generation. I use them with the Unifi and Edge line. Great throughput. No excessive heat.

This is for the 80 meter version. It was able to get me full 10GBps on cat 5e run thats about 50 feet long, and going through a patch panel. The 30 meter version got me to 5GBps on the same exact run. The 30 meter version got full 10 GBps on a shorter direct run, not going through any patch panel but still using cat5e. Great products, I get transfers from pc to QNAP at average 500 MB (Megabytes) per second. If transferring to or from an NVME that speed doubles. The QNAP is the other short direct run at 10GBps. Using this in a TP-Link Switch (TL-SG3210XHP-M2), works as expected. It was recognized instantly with no configuration needed to make it work.

Outside of being put of stock when I need them most of the time they are amazing.
