Greater than one weekI used this to replace the belt on our Hoover (belt part number 38528-033 is listed on the serial number label). The stamped ink on these belts was barely readable, and did not appear to be similar to that part number. However, it worked fine after I figured out it had to be stretched into place. I did not know that these belts stretch into place so much. When the original belt burned up and broke I compared the length of the broken belt to these and thought I had a bad product match. Scanning through these reviews, however, I learned that they have to fit tight so they dont slip off. They have to be stretched on. Armed with this info, I warmed up the belt such as you would with a balloon before blowing it up, then replaced the belt (its easier to squeeze it onto the tiny bar first, then loop the end of the brush roll in and plug it into place from there). Not too difficult. Ive only run it a few minutes since then but will update this review if it breaks or proves it deserves a worse review.

> 3 dayMy old Hoover bagged vacuum stopped adequately picking up debris from my carpet. I searched for a new one, but found that the price had increased substantially. I decided to try replacing the belt before forking out the cash for a replacement vac. Well, to my surprise, a new belt was all that was needed! Instead of paying over $200 , I spent around $6 and my vacuum is working like new!!!

> 3 daySo I noticed my vacuum wasnt suctioning like it should be. After watching several YouTube videos, I finally took it apart and of course... the entire belt was snapped. I had to do A LOT of tugging and pulling to get this on but finally got it and not my vacuum is working 100% again!

> 3 dayI was disappointed when I saw the new belt did not match the size of the old one by first glance, but I was wrong. The belt is very snug and secure. Vacuum works better than before!

Greater than one weekFirst of i am a 20+ years mechanic. I have repaired many vacuums. Therefore it can only be chalked up to poor quality. First belt lasted for me to vacuum my area rug. Next one has been ok but only used once.

> 3 dayThese belts are horrible. The both broke after less than a month using each. We dont have a ton of carpet so the vacuum isnt used super often and they still broke. Would not repurchase.

Greater than one weekBetter than Walmarts generic brand that didnt fit. These fit snug and were not loose like the cheap knock offs that I had to return from Walnart. My husband put them on, and he did have to pull some to get them on the cleaner. It is still working awesome. Great buy for your money also.
