Greater than one weekThis is a nice punch. Would have given 5 stars, but the first time I used it, the punch did not reload. I took the unit apart but found nothing I could see holding the spring. I banged it on the table and the spring released. After reassembling the punch worked perfectly and reset every-time.

> 3 dayI use these mostly to make an indent for drilling. They work well for that. Ive used them on Aluminum and steel. I recommend clicking them several times to make a good indent so the drill bit stay where it should when starting to drill. You can also use these to break a car window in case you are trapped inside or you need to rescue someone. The parts are all metal and seem to be machined accurate enough to work well. Ive used similar punches that cost many times as much as these and they work pretty much the same.

> 3 dayIt seems like a bit of a stretch (i.e. that the spring impact will punch an adequate drill spot or mark). But it does! I tried it on alloy carbon steel...and it left just the right sort of dimple for the hole to be drilled. Its hard to predict how long the punch will maintain its point (before re-sharpening needed). I made a little holder for this useful too, between the drill press and the bench vise. ~ The Duffian

Greater than one weekThe center hole punch is pretty good. Its easy to use and it comes in handy when youre drilling through a hard or a slippery surface. The tension is easy to adjust and it has a pretty good range. The smallest holes in my pic are at the lowest setting punching through pine. Good thing you get a set of 2 because the center hold punch is tiny and easy to lose in a busy shop.

> 3 dayReplaced a 30 year old punch and these are great! So far the points seem to hold up well and the spring action is great.

> 3 dayMade a small prick in both aluminum and hard steel. Although I thought it worked fine I believe a slightly stronger spring would improve it. I used it full tension but would liked slightly more resistance for a little deeper hole.

> 3 dayIF yours doesnt punch holes, you have to open up the front part and change the direction of the spring. The spring that is closest to the hole punch part. For some reason the spring I received way put it backwards so it was catching on the mechanism inside and not pressing into the whole fully.

Greater than one weekNot much you can say about a center punch. Pros: They work well. I like the colored body b/c it makes the easier to see. Its nice to have a set of two. Cons: They both jammed on first use and didnt spring back. I suspect an assembly problem. I unscrewed the body took the parts out and reassembled. Theyve been fine since.

> 3 dayThis offer was for 2 identical punches at a low price. Very handy to have in 2 different locations. I dont know how long they will last, time and use will tell.
