These work great for getting a mirror polish on a knifes edge

For sharpening my knives, I use a wet stone and a leather strop. I was content with the results but I knew I could get them sharper. Watched a video and thats what got me interested in these. Using these to get that final polish on my knives has made a huge difference.

Works as promised,however this set needs either a 5 or a 6um to make it a decent product.I trim them into 4×1 strips for my KME sharpening system.

Great product, I mounted 6 of the sheets (cut in half) on a 1cm thick sheet of float glass. They all worked great on the 25 degree bevel for push-pull, but for the 30 degree bevel its much safer to use the pull method, to avoid tearing the sheet.

I purchased these to use with my Worksharp knife sharpening system. I cut them to fit the stone and then just put them on. I get a razor sharp edge and a mirror polish. Very happy with this lapping film.

Im used to using files and wet stones. Decided to try this for my wood chisels. They are scary sharp. Easily shaves hair off my arm an slices through wood with little effort, which gives greater control. Wish I would have switch to this when i first heard of it.

STROP? WHAT STROP? THESE WORK FANTASTIC, ADHERE GREAT AND MAKE MIRROR EDGES ON WORKSHARP OR WICKED EDGE

I collect and (try to) restore old vintage Western of Boulder Colorado knives which have carbon steel blades that tarnish, patina and pit if not properly cared for. I use these to - by hand - polish out the imperfections and bring the blades back to a luster. Not always a mirror perfect finish based on the starting point condition, but these do a pretty good job. Its hard work but keeps me sitting at my bench for hours and off eBay for a while! I dont stick these to glass or adhere them to anything. I cut small patches and use my fingers to polish with.

The lapping paper I received was not a PSA backed paper it was just a fabric backed lapping paper. Not impressed with getting something different than what was listed.

So far so good with these, Ive used them to polish/hone some straight razors to try this method out. I prefer an actual stone though after trying this but then again this isnt what these sheets were designed for so they get 5-stars from me for their quality.
