Used a large granite cutting board to put 6 on one surface. Adhesive is great. I can now hone my tools to razor sharpness in a seconds. Dont know about the durability yet.

I ended up buying shapton stones because the money I would need to put into buying more of these did not make sense. I would be happier if I received all the correct grits as advertised.

Put a good edge on my cheap wood chisels.

I collect and (try to) restore old vintage Western of Boulder Colorado knives which have carbon steel blades that tarnish, patina and pit if not properly cared for. I use these to - by hand - polish out the imperfections and bring the blades back to a luster. Not always a mirror perfect finish based on the starting point condition, but these do a pretty good job. Its hard work but keeps me sitting at my bench for hours and off eBay for a while! I dont stick these to glass or adhere them to anything. I cut small patches and use my fingers to polish with.

This is what you need if you are using it to sharpen along with a honing guide. Managed to get a great and sharp edge to a well used second hand plane. Works for chisels as well.

Not good for honing straight razors. Pitched in the garbage.

Using these mounted on an aluminum plate for fine finishing on S30V and M390. They stay on the plate well and are removed easily in one piece. The papers do sharpen and polish as expected for their respective grit but do seem to wear out quickly. I would tell others to expect one grit paper per 3.5 inch blade. If you are looking to progressively move through several grits then plan on using several papers in the set.
