I bought this to replace my garbage Asus that was the same price as this computer when i bought it a year ago!!! This Acer is better in every aspect. The IPS panel has excellent viewing angles and the screen quality is stellar, The trackpad is also larger and much better at accuracy. This computer was able to easily play 4K 60FPS video and was extremely responsive in every test. Im shocked how well this computer preforms at this price range. Its an excellent everyday computer that works for most tasks. Dont expect much gaming capability but again its a $400 computer!! 10/10 for this computer

Bought this computer to replace my chromebook because of technical issues during zoom meetings. Im pleased to say that this laptop has the features needed for doing zoom meetings, for example, it gives you the links for interpretation and so forth...whereas the chromebook didnt offer that. The Acer 1080 also is great for accomplishing coding projects, especially for my sons zoom class.

This is not only a great computer but what a great price! Makes me so happy to find a laptop worth it for once

I am not one to leave reviews, but hoping I can save somebody money. I had this laptop for 1 month and a couple days before it would no longer boot up. I called Acer and without me even reading what was on my screen, the customer service rep already knew what was going on, which tells me that this is a common problem. Apparently it’s “uncommon” and the laptop I received just had a bad hard drive. I was in love with this laptop for the entire month it worked, but will absolutely not recommend this to anybody looking to purchase a laptop. I am so disappointed in this purchase.

I love the laptop its self, compared from using a chromebook os to an acer aspire 5 is so much better along with the quality of it ♥️

I was a bit nervous ordering this computer. I had the older version that was a bit bigger than this one that I was replacing due to age. For the cost, I went for it and crossed my fingers it would work for remote working and basic everyday tasks. So far, I’m very impressed! I was nervous to take the S mode off to install an anti virus. (I’m not tech savvy AT ALL). But I went ahead and did it and to my amazement my computer didn’t burst into flames lol. It’s a great smaller computer! I love the backlit keyboard too!

This computer is good and so is the price. The required Microsoft is disappointing and intrusive.

The charger plug does not charge without holding it in place 95% of the time. It makes it very difficult to use the keyboard with only one hand. I would NOT buy another Acer until this PROBLEM is fixed.

Order this a while ago. Ended up being to big and bulky for me so I decided to return it but some how my return got lost and now I have no laptop and down $400.
