Greater than one weekIve had this machine about a month now and I really like it. I havent had an Acer machine in many years so I was somewhat hesitant but it is performing well so far. Boots super fast, love the backlit keyboard. Nice and light.

02-04-2025I have had this computer since January 2022. It is now November 2022. In August, something went wrong and it started randomly not charging. Initially we thought it was the charger but after purchasing and trying several different chargers and taking it to a couple professionals to fix we learned that the problem is actually inside the computer. I have learned to pull the charger into strange and (what I think) are unsafe ways to make it charge. MOST of the time this works. The charger itself is weird. The part that plugs into the machine is tiny and frankly hard to find if you need a replacement. But the part that plugs into the wall is heavy duty.

> 3 dayI love my laptop. It is very light and easy to use. I did have some trouble with the finger print reader, so I have been using my code that i set up. I don’t think it is an issue with the reader on the computer. I always gad issues with my fingerprint for my work id card.

> 3 dayIve owned a number of Dell laptops and attempted my most recent upgrade with a Dell as well, ordering it directly from dell.com. But it arrived damaged and Dell refused to send a replacement in a timely manner, so I canceled the order, decided to look elsewhere, and ended up ordering this unit from Amazon. So far Im quite pleased with it. Seems to be equally good in every way to the Dells that Ive had in the past, but for slightly less money. My first laptop with fingerprint reader and Ill not go back to not having one - super convenient, and the reader on this unit seems to be quite responsive - the need for re-tries is rare. The verdict is still out regarding if this unit will hold up over time but it seems well-made and sturdy so my hopes are high. If it does hold up reasonably, Ill definitely look first to Acer for its ultimately replacement.

> 3 dayWas thrilled when received, but within two weeks, my new Acer failed to boot. No damage, just stopped working. On line support excellent but ended up needing to send to Acer for service. Returned and working, but Ive lost confidence in this purchase. Time will tell.

> 3 dayBought two Acer Aspire laptops about a year ago. One works perfectly. The other died a month ago. I have tried to contact Acer support several times to no avail. No one responds. When finally someone seems to respond the call just drops. Will NOT recommend this computer or this company to anyone. This is NOT service.

> 3 dayMy wife is a technical writer, and this is by far her favorite laptop after a little more than 2 months ownership. She loves the feel of the keyboard, the light weight, bright screen, and lighted keys (for when shes writing late at night). In the past 10 years she has used Dell, Lenovo and HP laptops, but never loved any of them the way she loves this Acer. She even prefers the 15.6 screen size over her previous 17 HP. She has a 27 1440p monitor for working with 2 pages at a time, but this laptop goes everywhere with her and the screen is plenty big for polishing something shes already written.
