The laptop would not charge when it arrived. This was not an issue with inserting the cable incorrectly as others have mentioned, but a battery issue. The laptop ran fine at first when connected to AC power, but would not actually charge the battery and would die when unplugged even after leaving to charge for hours before startup. The computer would think it was charging and the LED charging indicator would be lit, but it was not. I tried all of the typical software fixes like removing and re-installing the batter drivers, but it was a hardware issue. I was able to boot up from AC connection, but after trying to install the first round of software updates the laptop would not turn back on as it required 25% battery reserve to complete the update and turn back on, which obviously was not possible. Not acceptable for a brand new laptop.

This laptop initially worked well, but after a week the video began crashing. Even during the BIOS splash Id see video glitches and artifacts; something in the hardware was clearly broken. I returned this unit and did not order another. I guess Im lucky because it failed early, and failed in such a way that I didnt have to bother troubling shooting OS and driver issues.

I am currently playing Ark on this laptop as well as Sims 4. I can easily run both on decently high settings. Im glad I decided to go with the 16gb of ram instead of the 8. Everything is as expected. My only complaint is the battery does die extremely fast while gaming. Which seems to be a common problem in gaming laptops, although Im talking like 45 minutes from full battery to low playing the Sims, which is even worse then I was expecting. But I mostly just game places where I can plug it in anyways so this isnt a huge issue. But keep that in mind if thats something that would be a problem for you.

I dont use it for gaming but video editing instead. Boots fast, just wish the battery would last a bit longer.

I havent found any real problems with this laptop yet, has a program mapped to a key that allows you to change the mode from battery saving to optimal performance which is really handly. The same program has other features like allowing you to manually control the speed of both of its 2 internal fans (one for cpu and one for gpu). Awesome little laptop for its price point, great for all around use and runs most games at max settings with decent frame rate. Definitely worth the money to me.

Con. Okay so I ordered this laptop for my daughters birthday. So on day one I told her it will not turn on till you charge it so first thing she did was plugged it in and let it charge a few moments later we powered it up and my daughter was super excited so she went on to download a game she likes to play online. So the next day she goes to play the game and the screen froze shortly into the game so first thing was to wait to see if maybe it was lag but after a minute or so nothing still froze. Mouse didnt move so next I pushed alt, control, delete. Nothing so the ESC and nothing then the windows key. So I powered it down and powered back up keyboard lights up but no display so I hold the power key down for 15 seconds nothing. So I decided to power down again and power up and nothing but the keyboard powers up. So I this point Im upset and my daughter is super bummed after being super happy and excited a moment ago .so I called costumer support and they let me know that my computer is under warranty and it can be taken care of but I get cut off and Im running late for work so I decided Id call back after work. So I called again and talked to costumer support again so went through the same conversation and then they said they could refund my money or replace it I optioned for a replacement they said ok but because of the price there supervisor would have to ok it I said ok so after about ten minutes on the phone the till me that there supervisor cant ok the transaction that they have to wait for the morning supervisor to do this I said fine and that I would be contacted the next day....... Well its been so its been 4 days and nothing Im starting to feel scammed by Amazon for some reason. So in my opinion stay away from this laptop and DO NOT BUY ANY Electronics from AMAZON.
