> 3 dayIf you are looking to step up from FHD, I suggest QHD. I tried 4K and the adoption of 4K isnt there yet. This Acer Nitro has everything I needed for editing photo/video. It features 10-bit colors, so thats 1 billion colors vs the industry standard 8-bit which is only 16 million colors. The Amazon add doesnt state it but it is a true 10-bit monitor. Next, it has Rec.709 profiles already built in so its great for video. It has the 170hz refresh rate so great for high-speed video. Highly recommend, especially at the price.

> 3 dayHas features found in $500 monitors, and a near identical panel to some in that category. I was scared because of the last letter in the model name being different than the more will known version. Dont know what was changed, by the panel is the same. This deal cannot be beat at $250!

> 3 dayWe just got a computer that needed a HDMI monitor, which we didnt have. My youngest son (13) has been telling me that he wants to build a computer, but has not happened yet. We got the computer for school, and a bit of gaming. This monitor is really big, 27 inches. Larger than the TV I have in my bedroom. It has lots of connections on the back of it, for different inputs and outputs. The stand allows you to raise and lower the monitor and turn it with very little effort. My son tells me it has a 140 refresh rate, which was important to him. I know that it was easy to hook up, is bright, crisp and looks like it is built to last.

12-04-2025I’ve been looking for a solid 1440p monitor that can run up to 120hz at a reasonable entry level price ever since I’ve purchased my new Xbox. If you’re a casual gamer looking for a reasonably priced monitor for your new console I wouldn’t look much further than this monitor. It’s currently priced at $300 and with the included features, it’s a steal. I personally don’t care for 4K gaming, I don’t believe game publishers are aiming for that either, i think most console gamers should care about performance. 4ms grey to grey response time, sharp colors, and 120hz at 1440p is game changing and it’s what most PC gamers are aiming for. If it was still $400 I’d tell you, you have better options in comparison, at $300, you should probably get one before they’re out of stock. I’m not a monitor nerd at all, but to me the colors out of the box are fantastic, all I did on my end is enable freesync, adjusted my xbox tv settings to match my monitors capabilities, loaded up Warzone and had amazing experience, hope you do the same.

> 3 dayLets start with the negatives of which there are two: 1) The display, as many other reviews have mentioned, is a _little_ dim even on full brightness. Its not a problem, for me, with my setup, but I can in certain lighting conditions see more reflection off the screen of lighting in the room(say, my keyboard backlight, or even my desk when lit from above) than the display itself. Generally only noticeable with very dark images on the display and fairly well lit things to reflect. 2) The product ships with an HDMI cable that is insufficient to drive it to rated specs. To get full 2k 144Hz you need a displayport cable. I had some artifacting issues (vertical lines that wouldnt refresh) on the in-box HDMI cable, but these were fixed by switching to a $15 displayport cable from a reputable manufacturer. The included HDMI cable doesnt seem to be particularly cheap, it is sturdy, thick, and weighty, it just seems insufficient for using the display to its full capabilities. If you are having issues out of the box, I recommend trying a displayport cable. The picture quality and color is excellent. It performs excellently in games and watching videos at high resolution and refresh rate. Great value at its price point. I would highly recommend it. Its not perfect, but it is certainly one of the best you can buy.

> 3 dayMoving from a 144hz to 240hz I really did notice a difference, especially in games like Fortnite. I think this monitor is one of the first for newer 240hz monitors at a lower price point, I got on sale for $300 which I think is the long term price point for this class of product.

> 3 daySpent weeks looking for a good monitor to use with my ps5. Im not really computer savvy ( I havent actively used a computer since 2014), so I basically had to research what all the specs mean, and how it would function with my console. With a $300 budget I wanted the best I could get to hit 120fps and also with hdr and at least 1080p. So the extra pixel count is a nice bonus with this model. If youre discouraged to buy a monitor after watching reviews and reading reddit threads and seeing how someone always had something negative to say about any computer product. as someone who knows basically nothing about this stuff, I can say that this particular monitor has met all my needs and Im 100% satisfied. I would buy again. Setup was super easy, you really dont even need to reed the instructions. I had it out the box and set up and playing games within 20 minutes. And the analog stick button on the back makes it super easy to navigate its menus. Just an overall amazing monitor for the price and for anyone with next gen consoles.

> 3 dayI just opened this for the first time and set it up, and there’s already a dead pixel. Such a shame because i was so excited and this killed my mood. I’ll probably update this review in the future to give a better review. For now, 3 stars for pixel.
