> 3 dayCats can (and WILL!) use ANYTHING to clean and sharpen their nails -- Furniture, wooden doorframes, carpets, ANYTHING! But for some reason they can, and do, use cardboard, whether it is a box full of stuff sitting in a corner, or a mat like this one laid out on the floor for their specific use. Weve had cat scratcher pads for almost as long as weve had cats, and I STILL dont know for sure what makes a good one, or a bad one. These scratch pads are a bit shorter (see picture) than the usual size weve gotten (I kind of think of that as a bad point), but they are definitely more tightly weaved than the ones in current use (and I tend to think that will prove to be a very, very good point for them). I made a heavy box frame to put the cat scratchers into to help hold them down (make them a bit less mobile and not skid around on the linoleum floor), but it is longer than these scratch pads by about 2 inches. These pads are also a bit thinner (1-inch versus 1.5-inches) so they do not fill the home-made box as well. I believe the thinner size will not affect anything, as I have cut some old ones apart and they generally tear up between 1/4-inch and 1/2-inch of the thickness from each side, so we should still be able to flip these over and get double-sided use out of them. Overall, since cats can use solid objects like wood as scratching posts, I think the most important attribute of scratching pads is the density of the weave, and these have the other guy beat hands down in that category (see picture). If I had gotten these years ago, and built my box for this length, I would probably give 5 stars, but due to the empty spot caused by the shortness of these pads versus the other guy, I feel I have to hold back one star. (Is there any way to get Cat Scratch Pads standardized so everybody makes the same size?!?)

Greater than one weekA nice pack of cat scratching boards. They are thinner and smaller than some in the store but my cat did not care. I found placing them strategically throughout the house worked great, as he had access to scratch HIS things whenever he wanted. No more scratching human things!

> 3 dayThese were such a great value. Im surprised at how quickly our cats use up things like these and so far they are holding up much better than any other ones we have bought. Great value and surprisingly well made and last great!

Greater than one weekMy cat likes wall-mounted scratching pads, so I whipped up a simple wooden frame that I can hang on a wall for these. With five pads that I can reverse when one side gets worn out, this set should last quite a while. Hopefully they -- or something comparable -- will still be available when these run out. Meanwhile, these are working fine. My cat likes them, and the quality of the cardboard is good enough so that the one shes been using for the past week shows hardly any wear yet.

> 3 dayMy wife and I just got two new cats, and (unfortunately) they LOVE our leather couches! They immediately began scratching on them. Right away we ordered a small scratching post to put next to the couches, but that just did not work—they weren’t interested. So, we decided to give these a try, and BINGO! The cats love ‘em! We put two next to each couch, and now when the cats come by they usually scratch on these corrugated pads instead of the couches. It’s not 100% (the couch still calls to them a little, apparently), but it has greatly minimized the amount of scratching that the couches are getting. This comes as close to “herding cats” in their behavior than anything I’ve found, LOL! And while there’s no way for me to predict what YOUR cats will do, I will tell you that these are definitely worth a try! Note: We ordered two brands of these to try, YULOYI and AGYM, and they are identical except for the printing on the package sticker (see photo). Just grab whichever one is cheaper or ships faster to you — they’re both the same.

Greater than one weekMy cat kinda likes it but you need storage space for the extra inserts.

> 3 dayMy kitty loves this but I had to put some cat nip to entice. I think it should have came with it, but it didn’t. Otherwise it’s purrrfect.

> 3 dayI saw a couple of these that had catnip infused but they were more expensive and it turns out that our kitten just naturally drew to these right away. He loves these scratch pads and uses them all the time. I love that they come in packs of 5, not 3. I will update if it turns out these arent durable.

> 3 dayAs you can see from the item on the right hand side of the first pic, my cat loves these scratchers and goes through them a lot. However, they can be pretty pricey at brand name box stores. This 5 pack is such a great value as I can buy one of these for the same price at the pet store. My only grip is that these are way thinner than the one I bought at the store (right side is store bought, left side is actual item from pack). Other than that though, I think my cat is going to love these just as much! Very happy with this purchase

> 3 dayIm never sure weather my cats will like to use a new scratcher, luckily they use it immediately. This scratcher was also the same size as the worn out scratch I had before. If the cats are happy, then Im happy.
