With so many controllers out there, what will really win you over will be mostly based on preference and quality. As far as the quality goes, 8bitdo has nailed it with the pro 2 controller. If you like the style of the Playstation controller layout, this will be very familiar for you. The quality of the controller is great, but if you are using this with the Switch, there will be a few features that you will be missing from Nintendos own controllers. You will not have HD rumble, an NFC reader for amiibo, and the ability to wake up the system. There is rumble but will be the same kind of rumble you know from years past. Despite those missing features, there is a lot to love about this controller. It has a lot of customization features such as button mapping, rumble sensitivity, and macros. It has the best D-pad you can get from any modern controller these days. Im only using this on the Switch, but you can also use this on multiple platforms if you are looking for a one size fits all controller. Despite the missing features for the Switch, I would still recommend getting this controller. It has a lot to offer with customizations, the back triggers that you can assign for more ease of use, and a D-pad that is arguably the best that I have ever used. On top of that, the premium feel along with the rest of the buttons and the analog sticks makes this an overall solid controller, and I would highly recommend it!

I am running mac osx and use this with the OPENEMU emulator. It was instantly recognized and easily programmable. This feels great in the hand as far as ergonomics go. The buttons are responsive. The d pad is PERFECT. I tried this on MAME, NES, SNES, N64, PS1 AND GENESIS games and had no issues at all. This is a Snes controller with analog sticks and hand grips. Make no mistake this is a quality product.. ---HOWEVER--- When I connected this via bluetooth there was an apparent lag. So I plugged this in with the usb cable and turned off bluetooth and the lag was gone (this is my preferred method)... SO pick your poison. For me this is no big deal as I have no problem with cords but apparently some people do.

Absolutely fantastic controller. Ive used it for around a month now for my switch, PC, and iphone. Its extremely easy to connect, has amazing battery life and the material quality is great. The only con I have is that for certain games the stick rubber could use a grippy-er pattern for quick movements. All in all I highly recommend it!

Bought this to use with my RetroPie setup (and my Switch as a bonus). You need to charge the battery pack before updating the firmware (or just pop some AA batteries in). It definitely feels third-party, but its a comfortable controller to use for long periods of time. The D-pad feels nicer than the one on my Switch Pro Controller, and the joysticks are fluid. The L2/R2 buttons are mushy so the Pro controller definitely wins there, but overall its a good controller and I definitely would buy another one. Pros: - Button mapping supported (need to download the software from 8bitdos website) - Rechargeable (has a removable battery pack if youd rather use AA batteries) - Solid D-pad, smooth joysticks - Comfortable grip Cons: - Mushy L2/R2 buttons - Cant wake Switch using this controller

First of all I have to thank Aknes for providing a great customer service experience, theyre probably better than Amazon itself in this regard, when the first controller they sent me had issues they requested me to send a video for evidence, which I did, and they honoured the warranty without playing double game like Amazon itself does, thank you Aknes, now moving on to the controller itself. The first controller I received had phantom inputs which was because of a hardware issue, the replacement controller I received functions perfectly, the controller itself is perfect, I suggest you to watch spawnwaves review about this controller, Ive got a laptop, and a switch so this is the perfect controller for me, could use this on your phone too if you want, but Ive got some input delays on my phone, on switch and pc it works perfectly, better than the xbox controller and switch controller in terms of build quality and reliability, 10/10.

I have used numerous controller by 8BitDo and i swear by them. this is my number one favorite. Easily connected to my Nintendo switch, Android phone, and PC. The battery life is amazing, and lasted me numerous days of continuous gameplay (and I mean 12 hours plus a day under quarantine. The feel is very like the dual shock controllers. If you are thinking about getting this controller, GET IT! I never write these, so that must say something, hahaha.

This is my second pro+, 3rd 8bitdo controller, first controller was the SN30 Pro, but the buttons stuck after a few weeks. I did hear its the same components in the pro + (rubber pad underneath buttons) that tends to wear out fast. Then I decided to get the pro+ after I returned the pro model. The first one I got always had slight drift, just enough to make it annoying, then the buttons started to stick, returned it. Went with the official pro switch controller, both went bad fast (thats for a different review) decided to give 8bitdo one more chance, because all you hear is good things! Ordered this one, didnt get the bag though. Just didnt come with it. No way to request it without starting a whole return. Thats dumb. But it works still after 26 days! Hope it lasts longer because its almost past the return window now. Comfort is incredible, even if youre not a big D Pad lover (the d pad is amazing in this controller, best out of every switch controller Ive tried) the joysticks are easily reachable and comfortable. I personally havent had problems when two controllers are connected to the switch. The ultimate software is bad ass except YOU CANT ADJUST SENSITIVITY ON R & L TRIGGERS FOR THE SWITCH. Hopefully this gets fixed in an update. They are super sensitive and annoying all the time. Overall, best third party controller Ive tried for the switch, especially if it lasts. . . and Ive tried a lot. I will update my review if it messes up in anyway and let yall know how repairing it myself goes. And still bummed I didnt get the bag with it, but the keychain is dope!

Hands down one of the best controllers to get for the switch. Works great with both 2D and 3D games. I’ve been using this to play Breathe of the Wild and i rather use the sn30pro+ over the pro controller for Nintendo switch. USB C charging is nice since you can limit the amount of cables needed to charge it. Battery last a long time. I bought a second one cause I loved this one so much. Great buy!

These are by far, the best third party controllers I use for (mainly) my Nintendo Switch, and my phone. It just sucks that one of the controllers I purchased back in December 2020 has already started to show some wear & tear. Ive attached a pic that shows one of the joysticks material peeling. Ive reached out to customer support and waiting to get a response from them :) Would still highly recommend these though!

I bought this after trying out a similar looking, cheap competitor. There is no comparison between the two. This controller feels very well built and solid, with great button feel. The downloadable software is great and allows you to fine tune the joysticks and button mapping however you like. Battery life is excellent. Ive gotten over 5 hours and still havent recharged it since new. No problems pairing to Android (Samsung and Motorola both worked fine), or two Windows 10 PCs. No lag from the Bluetooth connection at all. Just buy it!
