Amazon Basics Self-Locking Tape Measure - 16-Feet (5-Meters), Inch/Metric Scale, MID Accuracy

Getting this thing to retract takes an act of congress. Returned it the same day it arrived.

Does the job with no issues!

After 7 feet the 8ft mark isn’t distinguishable beyond inches..hard to see 10, 11, 12 Ft marks

Lets hope the heavier than expected weight translates in extra durability

Good for basic jobs around the house, but if you’re looking for something more durable like contractors use, I’d look elsewhere. It does hold automatically when you pull out, but I couldn’t hold it more than a few feet before it collapses in itself.

I was always walking around the house muttering to myself, “how long is it, anyway?” The feedback I got was that it was a little short. Then I got my new tape measure. They were right. The coffee table is not 6 feet long!

The auto lock is the only locking mechanism - one tape works, other tape arrived with auto-lock broken. Bought as a Christmas gift, didnt learn one was broken until after return window. Amazon is not responding to warranty inquiries after several emails. Dont buy.
